Hello, thank you for participating in the first OPR Mission Jam! Please email marketing@onepagerules.com so that we can send you the participation models! Please include 'OPR Mission Jam Participation Minis' in the subject line.
Could use a little more clarity in the way the rules are written, but other than that, good work!
As mentioned in the other comment, it isn't specified how you seize the enemy deployment zone. I also think it would make sense if only heroes could be selected as a commander. I'm afraid I also don’t see the growth theme in this mission, apart from it being about plants. Moving objectives can be quite interesting, though.
Overall a good concept for a mission, but you lost some points for Rules Clarity from me for a few reasons:
- You refer to gaining 3VP for 'seizing the enemy deployment zone', but no rules for how one would do that
- The Objectives Fight Back!! rule does not give instruction. While one can infer that there is supposed to be a die roll to see what the objective does, it does not specify when in the round the dice is/are rolled, how many dice, or which objective activates. It could be interrupted as if any one of the objectives is occupied, you roll one dice apply the relevant effect to all the objectives, even ones not occupied.
While not a clarity thing, there is also the following balance concern:
- The designation of commander to any unit is problematic, as it allows someone to designate a cheap, disposable unit, and allow them to die to the plant, thereby denying 3 VP.
That is a very good point. I should have put it at the end of the round. That was an oversight from me.
As to seizing the deployment zone, I intended it to be one of your models alone there versus no opponent models there. It is basically capture the flag of a sort. It keeps people from using that low value commander that you point out.
