Let's trade feedback! I submitted a project too.

  • Gameplay: Co-Op endless runner, good direction to take this. I can see kids trying this on iPads as well as a potential mobile version using two side of the phone to compete. I could pass the time so easily on this when playing with my siblings. It's also funny art style too and low pressure overall.
  • Art: Good use of the minimalist 3D Models, level blocks and traps. It's so simple, why hasn't anyone thought of this design yet in co-op format. I like you have the hazards going toward the center of the screen instead of the other way around. Player hero always stays centered, another reason there's potential for Mobile port.

Future Enhancements:

  1. Character Picker for each side----just visual skin changes, doesn't have to be stat or tangible differences. Because the chibi sci-fi art style just works.
  2. Difficulty picker----for us hyper-competitive folks.
  3. UI Hits Counter ---- add a number next to the lightning health bar that shows how many more hits we can take. (When the lightning is full, it has a 5. When the lighting is almost empty, it has 1 next to it. For better clarity).
  4. Hazard animations----can potentially add unique animations to the hazards to make it feel more lively than static hazards. Boost platforms---like in Crash Bandicoot that help us run faster or jet over an obstacle.
  5. Collectibles----maybe simple hero collectibles on the paths. Like a floating hat that you have to jump to collect and at the end of the round you can add it onto your character. So both players have alternative incentives to keep playing.

Hi, thanks for the feedback and ideas! Mobile support was a bit too much for the jam but it's at the top of my list for the future.

I checked out your project. As a standalone bundle I think it's a good idea! I would pick a more straightforward name ("world builder" gives the idea of a map creation tool), like "Tiny Pixel Art Set". Or "pack", "bundle", etc.

Thanks again and good luck with your projects!

You're welcome! Hope you keep building. Thanks for the suggestion too. Pack and Bundle have a specific use on this platform, so those words might confuse people. It's not a pack you download, nor a bundle of packs. It is a collection of resources that helps you build tiny-style worlds, so I focused on that verb instead. :) Naming was not a quick process.

Wow really great take on a coop endless runner, I'm going to try it with my son later, I felt like I was fighting my brain to get some of the movies going at the same time :D Very cool! Great job!

Thanks! Yeah it can feel weird initially haha, but it's very rewarding when you get it right!

I'm not at my computer now but I've saved your game to try it out later, it looks really good!

I played it just now, awesome! I love puzzle games and these were really engaging. I couldn't stop playing until I got the blue door open! hahaha

One very small detail: on the room after the coins, there is an artifact between 2 walls. For a moment I thought it was part of the puzzles. Just mentioning it in case you want look into it later!

Yeah there are a few of those honestly, I have to go back in and clean all that stuff up :)

....and maybe make a puzzle out of it, nice idea :D

I really liked it! Amazing concept and use of the mouse! Really hard at first, but quickly becomes very satisfying.

Thanks for playing! Yes it takes a bit to get used to. I just tried your game, I liked the character swapping mechanic. I died mostly while repairing the green screens because I matched the dots too slow XD

Thanks a lot for playing my game 🙂

super awesome project! maybe a little on the harder side, but still fun

Thanks! I also tried your game just now.  I crashed into other stuff several times before making it to the island. One thing I noticed is that I couldn't make it go fullscreen unless I do it right away during the splash screen. It stops working after that (at least in chrome and firefox). Something to look into, maybe!

You really took those challenges personally :) Well done! Interesting idea and polished implementation. It was fun to play it

Thank you, I also like your game's concept. I got overrun by the crowd pretty quickly but felt great to get the shapes right

Yeah, we have a lot to work on there! Thanks for playing!!

You took on almost every challenge in this jam, great work!

Thanks! I played your game also, looks nice! I'd recommend having a way of lowering mouse sensitivity, and maybe prompt the user every time to pick an upgrade, instead of having to go to a room. Also I made the bullets so big they were hitting my own hat I think haha
