Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
It's hard to put your musical ideas onto something tangible. The only way to do it is to "Just Get Started!"

I love it. I think the duck/slide mechanic should be limited to like only a couple of frames. but that was neat. I also think jumping and ducking should have sounds that go along with the song you're playing. overall. Very Neat!

Features might be added post jam! Excellent suggestions

Nice game, great concept. Going to repeat what TaHie said: Would be great if the obstacles were the actual notes. A real rythm game. Great start though, well done!

Got a high score of 246! Classic endless runner type game with a cool pixel art. Could be better executed if the obstacles we dodge are actual notes of a music being played in the background. That would be cool as flip. Apart from that, music sounds really nice. A bit short tho. Nicely done for a first jam submission!

Good first game. It took a while to get a hang of the controls and the timing, but it worked out okay.

A game like this needs good music, and you have good music. I think the back of the head clipped the instruments a bit more than I like, but it might be a skill issue on my part. Overall, enjoyable little experience.

Fun: I like the challenge, simple yet fun

Presentation: I like the pixel art style, the music is good as well

creativity: good idea: dodging instrument on a not bat ( or whatever it's called 😅) naming it something like start the music or something would have fit the theme better

I like the art and music, does get a bit repetitive but you did a good job!

Highscore 240

But it took me 3 trys to understand, that i should be dodging the instruments.

Overall nice little game, love the pixelart.

Very catchy soundtrack! But it was kinda hard for me to distinguish yellow objects,  i don't know if it's my monitor settings tho. great submission!

I got about 150 points, really enjoyed how the objects to dodge came in at the same beat of the song!

I got around 300 points. and had a lot of fun, but why do I need to dodge music instruments? They feel like something I want to collect! This game has potential if you expand on the idea. Would love to see more obstacles and tunes.

Its quite a fun game, but there were long repeating sections of just sliding or jumping

Thanks! Obstacles are randomly selected for "replay-ability". The downside being the occasional foreverslide :P

Very fun, I just found it a bit difficult to see the player

Good game, not bad for a newbie, good art

Thanks! There was a lot we would have liked to add and to polish but we were really happy with where we got in such a short space of time
