Oh wow this is an awesome concept, having to balance feeding and picking, it’s all about these micro decisions which makes for good gameplay and you nailed it! Especially in such a short time. Incredible work!
Pretty fun, although I may have liked a jump button to be able to retrieve a knife that got thrown into a corner I couldn't reach. Might have been nice to be able to see the timer while picking the lock, although I understand the stress of not being able to see the loss condition while you're trying to finish the win condition.
Really cool game, cant believe the monster didnt like my knife smh
Really fun game! Although, as empty.soap said, to win I just have to cook everything in advance and stare into door. But if the ingredients, for example, appear from some other shaft after some time, it would make the game more interactive.
Thanks for the feedback. Having the ingredients arrive down a shaft is a good idea to fix this problem
It was fun! I managed to get out on my 3rd attempt :D
But the winning run wasn't super enjoyable: first I just cooked everything in advance (which was fun), but then I was mostly just staring at the grey wall while holding the mouse.
true about the winning strat being just holding on the door, I found the same but ran out of time to figure how to fix it. Maybe the food should go cold or stale to force it to be cooked just-in-time. Thanks for playing and the feedback
so good!!! The use of the limitation was perfect and when the timer got to red I genuinely felt panic (also the monster scared me the first time cus he snuck up on me as I was picking the lock). Having to juggle picking the lock and feeding the monster was challenging and well integrated into the story of the game. My favorite so far, I'm gonna keep trying to actually get out lol.
thanks for playing. One thing I added if you want to try it is if you drop the knife down the chute the creature instantly gets angry and climbs up
