I actually got the download to work! I love the waves, they look so cool, and make the gameplay so much more engaging then if it where to just be a flat pane of water. The visual style is cool too. One of my favorite moments was when i managed to jump over a rock tanks to the wave, and then i use that rock as a shortcut to get another area, kind of surfing on it. I liked the twist of the boss being 3d. My only feedback is that health could be a little more generous in general, and if you want to expand this concept, you could take inspiration from the waves from mario kart world, that react to explosions by making huge circular waves that overlap the regular waves!

Developer

Haha, that's pretty cool, I don't think I was ever able to fully jump over a rock during testing XD. I could definitely see the health being upped and the explosion's effecting the water sounds super cool! Thank you for checking the game out + giving your feedback!

This game looks very cool! It was a bit difficult to move and shoot, but there is a great game concept that could be refined!

Thank you for your feedback Kirby!

man i can‘t play this because my computer keeps saying it‘s a virus... so weird. It looked so fun from shovel‘s stream, i‘m so sad i couldnt try it :(

Developer(+2)

Yeah, we think that its because of the way we exported the game from Unity, but I haven't looked into it, so I'm not too sure why its doing that 🤔
I appreciate you trying to give it a go though :)

If you ever make another build let me know because i genuinly wanted to try this lol

Moving the ship on the waves is really fun, though it's a bit hard to navigate cause the water cuts off at a certain distance. The shooting is a bit meh, but seeing the 3d boss after the 2d krakens and towers was really suprising. It looks really cool!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the feedback/giving the game a shot! Yeah, the waves run off of your CPU so we had to have their render distance pretty low XD and the cannons definitely could be be updated to be more engaging with some more time. Thanks again for for playing!

I felt like I had barely any control over the movement of the ship, but that may also just be my awful coordination.
The visuals are nice though, and while I never managed to get past the first kraken, I saw in Shovel’s stream that the final boss was 3D in contrast to the previous 2D enemies, which I find very creative.

Thank you very much! Onion is a 2D artist and I am a 3D one, so it was a fun way to collaborate. I definitely think that was our biggest strength.   Thank you for your feedback and trying our game! :)

I remember watching this during the stream, but actually playing it, is really fun. I absolutely love the visuals(reminds me of Zelda Wind Waker). Good stuff!

Developer(+2)

Thanks a lot! Paragon and I both love Wind Windwaker, so its a pretty big inspiration for us :D

ILL admit that it's not my type of game but the wave mechanics are very impressive and the art style is really unique. I'm sure it has a lot of potential, good work :)

And well if you feel like it you should go and rate my game as well, I would love some feedback

I'm always impressed when someone makes a boat game where the boat actually moves with the waves!

Developer(+2)

Haha, thank you! It was quite the hassle to get the movement/waves working XD

This game is quite creative, the controls are very unique. Playing this game got me feeling like Jack Sparrow, or that one video from Seas of Thieves

Thanks Dany!
