Wow, really nice entry for 48 hours! While I'm terrible at the type of controls provided, I truly appreciate them and the implementation. The procedural generation makes for unique game play and the the mini map was neat. Music and sound effects were nice and the ability to set volume for each was a nice touch (I ran out of time to add that feature to my game). The story line was interesting too. Great entry.
thanks for playing! the audio was added at the last moment to the game, its not perfect because we were doing it for the first time, but I’m glad it’s there! appreciate the feedback!
Wow this feels really good! I don’t think the movement felt clunky at all, it’s actually really fun to control, even if all I’m doing is holding W and aiming to slam the tiny robots. Very cool upgrade options, and I thought I was very OP at one point but then I realized I needed almost 300 souls and my power was at 6% ;-;
Very nice what you all managed to do here! Cool music, sound effects, even a minimap and the blue barrier is something you don’t consider at first but that actually add to the gameplay I believe.
thank you! yes, the game needs some balancing, but we’re glad you enjoyed it!
thanks for noticing the minimap/radar and other mechanics we put time and effort into!
The movement controls feel a bit clunky. Although, the upgrade system is amazingly implemented. I progressed up to day 3 and noticed 2 things. Firstly, the big enemy takes ages to kill. Sometimes, I encounter enemies going past the blue barrier and I can't get to them.
Thanks a lot for your feedback and criticism, we really appreciate it!
Could you tell us a bit more about what exactly felt clunky in the movement? We’d love to improve it, but understanding your experience better would really help.
We’re aware of the balance issues in the current build and fully agree it’s something that needs work. Thanks for pointing that out.
As for the enemies going past the blue barrier, that’s actually intentional. Some enemies try to escape from the player, so part of the challenge is to control their movement and flank them from angles that prevent them from slipping past the edge. That said, I can totally see how that might not have been clear, we’ll definitely look into making that mechanic better explained.
So basically to move forward, you need to hold W rather than move up along with panning the camera around. Also moving left and right depends on the camera's x movement rather than input. That's why it was clunky at first; although, I did get used to it after a longer playthrough
I like the concept a lot and your menu screen is really well done! I couldn't quite find a strategy to beat the second day but I still enjoyed what I was able to play!
Thank you! We are aware that the game isn’t balanced well right now, we didn’t have time to test it properly. We will update the game with balance changes on our GitHub repo or here after the jam ends! Thanks for your feedback!
Great game. Love the upgrade options!
Thanks for the feedback!
