How does your game fit the theme?
You need the car to get started and the game itself "just gets started": no tutorials, explanations or proper introductions are included.
This is my first game and my first jam, so I guess I'm getting started on that too.

A pretty nice game, though the blacksmith didn’t take my money, and I didn’t find a tree to cut off, but from what I’ve experienced, it’s pretty nice
This game was very cute and I like the concept! I had similar bugs that the other comments mentioned but other than that I thought it was a great job esp on your first jam :)
Beside the imput problem, the game was great, good job!
It's pretty good! Though I would fix the input problems cuz my character stopped every once in a while.
thought it was the same idea as our game until we got given a sword lol, did get stuck at the well afterwards tho :/
Really fun pokemon style mixed with animal crossing! I couldn't get the 5th gear sadly from the blacksmith he wouldn't take my money even though I had over 5 coins, but other then that the attack mechanic seems to glitch a bit when moving but still looks really neat! Keep progressing on this game
Hello, great work on your first game jam! I dont wan't to repeat the issues with the input bugs since everyone is already mentioning that in the comments but I will say the game is very cute. The music also fits very nicely, unfortunately, it doesn't loop though. The arrow pointing to where you need to reach is a really. Overall. if you fix the bugs that everyone has mentioned, you would have a solid game. Greak work once again.
Hey nice work on this map! Thanks for putting the arrow in at the start, that was super helpful. I enjoyed this game, despite some of the issues with the player stopping randomly, or the bug where you can't pay the blacksmith. It definitely has some potential. I thought the map design was interesting, and I loved having a mini-map. Did you make that yourself? Or was there some plugin you used?
Hi, thank you for the question. The background of the map is from a CC0 UI TileSet. I wanted to link it even though it's CC0, but I lost the link, sorry. For the rest of the map, honestly, I spent some time trying to figure out how to do it before deciding to just screenshot the 3 main stages at the same scale and upload the pictures, putting them together where the connections are. I know it's not very fancy, but it works, and it looks good, I think. Sorry to disappoint and thanks for the feedback.
That's actually a really clever solution, thanks for the reply :)
the game is cute and fun , the problem is the input reset every time i run into an obstacles. Being the map is that big , the movement speed might need to be faster.
Quite a interesting game! ✨
Background music choice was good, unfortunately I didn't have that good of a time with this one, kept getting stuck on obstacles, from what I've read from the comments I think most of my concerns have already been expressed, I agree with most of them, just gotta iron out the problems and you have a pretty neat game!
As a fellow newbie, congratulations on finishing your first game!
The game looks good and is fun to play. Here's some improvements I'd like to suggest: make the guy a bit faster. The map is big and it's a bit boring to walk around when the character is slow. I've also encountered some collision bugs, the character would just stop sometimes. Also, I couldn't buy the last gear for some reason, the guy just wouldn't accept any coins. I see a lot of potential, and I think after some bug fixing this game can become a great experience!
What a fun adventure!
Your game is very cute. I like the choice of music, but it'd be nice to make it loop because if I stay in an area for too long, it will end at some point.
A problem I had was that I can't buy the gear, the guy wont take my money T-T
Also, hitting an obstacle stops all velocity in that direction, and when trying to hit the skeleton, the swing animation doesn't always show up.
Overall, you have a nice game, good job!

Solid first game jam game that with a bit of tweaking looks to be something that can be excellent. I'll forgo mentioning what I've already seen commented on already for feedback for the game, that and you probably are already aware of some of the bugs but otherwise the main thing is the getting caught on objects where you'll stop in place and can't move directionally when you make contact with a wall. Beyond that, decent art and music, and it's solid groundwork for if you do want to make something more from this project. Good stuff
Nice game, the art and music were very good. The only complaint I have is that the character sometimes gets stuck when walking, but other than that it's a good game.
Really nice game! The mechanics are very nicely implemented, and it was fun.
I got a bug though I aproached a fence and the character got stuck, I couldn't do anything after that.
Apart from that. Good job!
Really cool background music, love the artwork and animations, especially the ones where you swing with a sword… I wish the combat was a bit more engaging, and that any tool was sufficent for that, like you are telling me an axe isn’t a weapon? and I didn’t know skeletons can walk on water xD Overall I enjoyed the game, and the little arrow was absolutely necessary, otherwise I would just wander around on where to go next :p
Nice game, love the little man and the artwork in general. The collisions were a bit off sometimes, like it would randomly block me walking but if I pressed the same key twice it would work. The character was a bit slow. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Lovelly art! pretty complex mechanics for you first game. Keep up the good work!
For a first time jam game this is great! Nice simple concept but you executed it well! Great job :)
