How does your game fit the theme?
Our game is about a character who needs to get his life together. So the game starts with him getting started on fixing his life. He is a war robot addicted to drinking oil, so fixing his life results in fighting crime in a ridiculous manner. We also wanted to get started on creating a game together.

Once again, I am reminded of how important the graphics and sounds are in a video game. This is a very fun game to play, and I absolutely agree with the tutorial style, the best tutorial ever made in gaming history. Only a true artist with a great sense of humor could visualize something like this. The music for each level is such a banger 🔥! I was swerving the 'war robot' here and there and just chillin listening to the track.
Anyways, has Lucia given you back your $5 yet?
Unfortunately, Lucia has not given us our money back. She instead spent it irrationally.
Jokes aside, thank you for playing our game! I'm glad you enjoyed the sounds and graphics! That means a lot!
The art style reminds me of some of those 2.5D or 3D racing games on the GBA, which is pretty cool.
Cool game! Visuals are amazing, and game feels super polished! Didn't really get how the theme was implemented though...
DUDE! This game strikes me as a majorly psychotic style-overload. Gorgeous visuals, especially fond of Connor's and Lucia's sprites, the music is fantastic (each and every track) and the gameplay is really nice! The shop as progression kept me playing for a while until I had all the upgrades, at least definitely long enough for a game jam entry in my opinion. The ramps are a great way of seperating the track segments and sprucing things up every once in a while, while I personally think the obstacles could be broken once you hit into them, as you could get stuck on a single one for a bit and lose quite a lot of HP - Though this is mostly just a matter of taste, as both ways of executing this mechanic work for the gameplay totally fine.
Great entry! Gonna be bumping the music for a while now hahaha
Edit: And how could I forget the amazing tutorial. That was. Perfect. 11/10.
Hey DDS! (dazzling duck studios!) Thank you for playing our game! I'm glad you liked the music. I tried to incorporate a variety of racing game music (Ridge Racer Type 4, F-Zero Outrun). I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as you did, and I appreciate the text you wrote to us.
I'm gonna echo some of the other sentiments in these comments by saying that this game looks really nice. The music is sweet, and the visuals themselves snag the game some crazy style points. Unfortunately, the lack of meaningful progression or any clear goal sort of make the artistic aspects of the game the only real reason to stick around, which is a shame, because the driving controls seem pretty solid.
Also, I'm not sure if this was some kind of oversight, but the tutorial seems kind of -- I mean, it's good. It's a good tutorial, really. Just, I think I saw a few typos, maybe?
Beautiful graphics, everything that isn't the game itself is very well done, but the gameplay itself doesn't deliver much—it lacks action and content. Still, it's very good, definitely not bad. Good work.
Presentation is a 5, no doubt about it, the thing is i didn't find any to do after buying everything and the game doesn't have a clear ending so i don't know if i missed something, also the tutorial is not that helpful, but overall pretty good game, loved it
It's really GOOD, gameplay is really fun. It's polished really well, the sound effect reminds me of Metal Slug :)
The presentation is REALLY good I love it so much and the main gameplay loop while starts boring does pick up at the end. The tutorial is hilarious but difficult to read it would be better as a text that I can skip through at my own pace. As for the main gameplay loop I'd love to see more varied dangers like moving cars or alternate routes maybe. STILL REALLY FUN AND I LOVED IT!
Thank you, Niko from Oneshot, I really appreciate that!
I like it. Pretty good experience, though if you (somehow) hit something, goodluck recovering by not hitting yourself a million times in a second from the knockback. Pretty good music also
15/15 if it was a full game I would buy it (unless its smth like 80$)
Thank you mega animation!!!
The artstyle is gorgeous, reminds me of graphics in the ps1 era. Sadly the game feels a bit lacking, the obstacles are easy to dodge, wish there were enemies to fight against. loved the moviemaker tutorial tho lol
We had more plans for that, but unfortunately, time ran out, so we focused on driving. Glad you liked it!
