Very cool atmosphere!

This was weird. First, the sound design and the music were very well done, the music transitions could be smoother though. The controls were a bit unconfortable, and the lack of checkpoints was a bit infuriating. I also liked the art, the lighting too (even if it could be brighter), the particle effects and the PC components and the cables that lay around. I didn't get the theme very well since the game is too experimental. I also found a point in the game above the microphone iirc with a platform and a voice that talks about flesh and metal and stuff, it was hard to listen. There weren't indications on where to go so I was uncertain if I should go look out somewhere else or if I should stay at the platform.

Overall intriguing but very hard.
- Really loved the ambiance nailed both visuals and sounds.
- Love the SCP exploration log kind of vibes I get from this.

Decided to move on to try other games after dying without understanding the cause when reaching the lighter blueish gray area (pretty sure I didn't touch a wall and died mid-air).

Wishlist/Random improvement ideas as tribute:
I wish the game didn't feel as punishing as it is. Mostly the problem comes from:

- Dying is very easy (Not necessarily a problem) Instead of being a one hit kill, the game could benefit from slow regenerating health while the player is in specific safe areas or hasn't been taking damage for a while or something thematically/mechanically fitting/interesting.
- (As far as I know) Lack of a checkpoint system (Is a problem when combined with the previous)
In most horror games nowadays failure means being set back but not an entire do over, which kills the pacing at which curiosity is being rewarded.

Thanks for the feedback!

Regarding the seemingly unexplained death: While I don't know the exact details, I suspect this may be due to a lag spike that occurs when first entering that area. We couldn't quite figure out the reason why during development or find a fix, though now suspect that it may be related to https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/87843  or https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/103308.

Interesting and thanks for the explanation gonna be useful for me to test in my own project knowing this now :)

Loved the vibes on this one, a bit hard to see but that's the point, congrats to your team, amazing game.

Fantastic submission, I really really like this one! The art and sound design are amazing and really set a strong vibe. My favorite area was the computer/electronics area to the bottom-left, finding the platform and chilling while listening to the creepy audio file was top-notch. I'm gonna try to find the others, I got pretty far I think. I would love to see the art in full lighting as well as listen to this music/audio logs again. Drop that Soundcloud/bandcamp!

Great work by the whole team!

The overall atmosphere of this game was incredibly well done, it had an eerie undertone through it and navigating the world only added to this. I saw you mention that the game was punishing by design so I won't mention my very obvious skill issues whilst playing this game LMAO.

The audio and art was really well done though and worked insanely well together, it created such an interesting atmosphere and it made me feel tense (in a good way), I do agree with people that the lighting could've been a little bit stronger to make it a tiny bit easier to traverse, I think it would also help in being able to see more of the level and be able to take in those graphics a bit more.

Overall, it's honestly a pretty good submission :)

Thanks! The atmosphere via the graphics, audio, and post-processing was definitely the biggest point of focus, as it's a very exploration/ "vibe" centric game, so it's great to hear from people that we hit the mark there.

Yeah you've definitely nailed your goals in that case then! I love atmospheric games and I think your team absolutely nailed the atmosphere of this game. I think it's probably a top 5 game for atmosphere I've seen so far :)

I absolutely love the design of this world! Super moody scrapbook-esque aesthetic. Seconding the difficulty comments though, it's just a lot to handle while I'm trying to take in the environment. Checkpoints and dramatically increased lighting would make it easier to appreciate what you built. I also couldn't make out most of what was being said in the audio logs. Edit: I see now that they were intentionally unclear, it just felt like I was scammed out of my reward for finding the secret. If it really needs to be difficult for your artistic vision, I'd love some way to brute-force piece it together through subtitles if I watched long enough. Scribbled out words that un-scribble for a brief moment one at a time?

Thanks for the feedback!

The game is very punishing by design, but of course that's not for everyone and can be felt negatively.

Your idea for the scribbled subtitles that become briefly visible does sound like an interesting solution. Whether or not there'll be a post-jam update is still unclear, but if there is one, we might add something akin to that.

Fantastic project! The atmosphere, visuals, and music create a perfectly wrapped uncomfortable experience, really creepy vibe, like I was stuck in a stomach! The lighting felt a bit weak for such a harsh fail state. Also, a downloadable would have been nice. Overall, this game rocks, great job!

The ambiance is perfect , however I think the difficulty is a bit too high straight at the beginning which doesn't fit well with the kinda contemplative world you made!

Amazing atmosphere, well done. The reset is pretty brutal.

I really like this one! The graphics and audio work together to create a distinct and eerie vibe that I'm quite fond of. I think getting sent back to the tile screen after getting hit once is a bit too harsh of a penalty, especially considering how fast the rocket can move, but that doesn't detract from the incredible atmosphere the game creates.

Great work!

Very beautiful game, the visuals and sound effects provoke an eerie as hell atmosphere, one section where you are traveling though complete darkness with all these pieces of environment contracting and expanding was really tense.

Game was pretty tough squeezing through a lot of narrow passages, was getting frustrated but getting past some tricky areas gave a great sense of accomplishment, so big ups on the gameplay.

I collected a bunch of audio logs but could not understand a single thing any of them said, haha.

Great to hear you liked the atmosphere!

The audio logs are quite hard to understand; though that was a conscious decision so that players may need to work together on figuring out what they do say. Well, or adjust the volume sliders to mute all but voice, if you wanna go down that route. If a post-jam version is made, subtitles may be added though they'd likely not be made easily readable either...

Very cool art style and great vibes overall. The game was quite difficult, but maybe I was just bad at it. Very effective take on a simple mechanice

Artwork and vibes are immaculate, really really great job on the overall art direction. I did find the game play a little challenging, I would love to move a little bit slower to have more control, but I think the ideas and execution are great.

This is one of the coolest art styles I have seen in a game. The way the ship paper "burns" when you crash is really cool. The audio and music also really suite the vibe and ambiance of the game. The controls took a second to figure out but were super fun and easy to use. I loved exploring the levels and the art and backgrounds again where just STUNNING. Good work!

Thank you!
