The graphic were nice. I wish there had been a pause or similar so I had more time to read the potions. The potion making was cool, but the game was so fast paced that I felt I didn't get the chance to enjoy the flavor text.
I really enjoyed this one! It was a bit tricky to keep track of everything at once like the enemies, the ingredients, and reading what the potions did but overall, cool concept. Good job!
The concept is very original and fits the theme of the jam perfectly! I enjoyed brewing all kinds of potions. I did get easily trapped and died a few times, but it was fun.
Cool concept. Pretty hard to get the hang of it, especially the controls. Once you do though you become OP pretty fast, one shoting enemies. The art and music are really good, as well as the mechanics. Died many times cause I got stuck in trees. Good work!
Very nice gameplay and visuals! I think the controls could be improved a bit, clicking and dragging gets a little old. I got stuck a few times between parts of the level and enemies. You added a lot of good juice to the game and it felt really nice to kill the enemies. Good job!
Very fun game! I do think that you should be able to go through enemies because if you get trapped and don't have a good potion then you are 100% dead since the melee attack isn't powerful enough. Great work!
THIS GAME IS SO FUN!!! Never thought a wave battle game mixed with potions would be this fun to play. The art is beautiful. The potions are unique. It's awesome!!!
I don't want to be nosy, but two quick questions for you:
1. How long did it take you to make all those potions and implement them into your game?!
2. What are your analytics for this game right now? (Personal Thought; Must be in the hundreds!)
Rooting for you to hit top 10! This game deserves it :)
Thanks for the kind words :) . I've no problem answering questions
1. Suprisingly very little time. This is the first game I've ever coded (unless your counting some scratch games from 10 years ago) so I had no clue what i was doing whatsoever. It took me about 2 days to get the character moving, but i got the hang of it after a while. I'm in college for software development so I know OOP pretty well (forced to use java), so the potions are all created by a very modular class. I think it took about 6 hours to go from one potion to the full list.
2. Were on 20 views and 17 plays. The click through rate is 1.7% , which seems very low to me but im guessing thats in the average range.
Thanks for answering the questions.
Wow, you are talented in Godot! Like you, I had zero real game development experience before this jam, but unlike you, my project flopped. How did you learn so much Godot in such a short time?
Good luck on your software development journey :)
My game has a click-through rate of 1.68% too, so this must be the average.
really fun game, a bit hard to read what each potion is doing whilst avoiding enemy, but loved the idea, great job :)
Great aesthetic! And it was fun experimenting with the different materials!
i like being able to customize and learn the synergies quite alot, it gave a very unique twist to the restaurant style game that i often see in jams
Oh this is a nice one. Love how hectic this quickly gets. Managing all the potions and enemies is a great challenge. Good one and a nice use of the theme.
Really like the idea of this game but found the controls very hard to master, in 4 tried managed to get to wave 3 with 16 monsters killed, but was running like hell the entire time. Thanks for submitting will try again later
Love the artwork and theme of the game, it gets intense trying to pick up the flowers and plants whilst dodging the enemies! Really fun :)
