Would love to hear your thoughts on our game (in particular the balancing). We worked super hard on it!
Genuinely, just wow. The art is amazing, it's fun to play and I genuinely hope you will make this into a longer game, because I would definitely play that!! I think the balancing is good as in, I got to the end but it didn't feel like there was a lot of choice with the upgrades (not a bad thing, simply can't make 100+ levels in a game jam) :)
Rated the game and will put another comment on the rating page, but genuinely, the fact you worked hard on it is clearly visible!
I would really like your feedback, I need to know how the game feels in terms of difficulty. If you could help me telling me about your experiences, it could be great!

P.D.: Your game was the first I played and rate! Nice going man! (I loved the greeny, kinda GBC artstyle!)
Just finished your game, will leave you a comment and rating! :)
In terms of difficulty, as you described as well on the game page, I did run into the game restarting me at one heart after that first checkpoint. I tried a couple of times to get to another checkpoint but due to just one hit I wasn't able to. In that way, I would say that makes it quite difficult, but without that, I would say the difficulty is about right! Maybe sometimes a bit tough, but if next to the bug that is your intention I think it is spot on! :) But that aside, I do really like it! I think your game is a really solid puzzle game, very well done!
Also thank you very much for playing SnailQuest, glad to hear you had fun!
Thank you for the comment! Yeah, I realized after submitting the game that the "respawn with just one heart" existed, and I didn't had a way to fix it (due to the upload restriction). That was not the intended way of playing, so I inmedeately updated the description on the game page. to clirify that. I'm sorry that the bug obscured your experience.
Also, I noted that the "Shield" was activated from the very beggining, contrary as it was originally intended. So, a lot of bugs that I didn't notice before it was to late.
Thanks again for the rate and comment!
BEFORE YOU PLAY by Ctrl + T i made the music and general game design for this game, so you can give feedback focused on these aspects
I played your game and, broo... The situations you created are so creative. I saw the level 99 monster and thought "okay, let's go back." Then I get cornered by the big scary slug. After that, I instantly regretted saying I like scary games xD
Oh very well done on the music and general game design, I really like it! :) Think the music is very fitting for the game! I think the puzzle elements really added up (like the having to spell play), kept surprising me, very creative! I will leave a comment and rating.
Also, thank you so much for playing my game too, so glad you had fun! :) (next to the scare part hahah)

Just whatever feedback back you can give me and my friend started coding like 5 days before jam so any bugs you notice please tell us also we know the health bars are broken we didn’t have enough sleep and time to fix them before submitting
Thank youuu
Just finished playing your game, well done! The art especially looks absolutely stunning, and especially for coding for 5 days that's very impressive!
So in terms of bugs, after one of the first bigger jumps (the one after the overhang with two skeletons in it, pretty close to the beginning) you can fall down and fall out of the map and need to restart. Next to that the flying enemies are a bit hard to attack as they attack just a bit too fast for you to get a hit in.
What I do think you should really add is a credit section/assets used section to the game page. The art is stunning, but it would be good to give proper credit to the artist that made the assets you used, like the player skeleton. That way, they can continue making amazing assets that everyone can use! :)
Again, well done and congrats on your first game jam!
Hey there!! Can you give a general feedback about our game?? (Forgive us about the sometimes-clipping-through-props-camera ahahahahaha)

I'm going to review yours too!!! :)
Hey! I downloaded and tried to play your game but I got the following error: A D3D11 -compatible GPU (Feature Level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0) is required to run the engine. I will look into this later, but no worries, did want to let you know I haven't forgotten about it and I will do my best to fix it so I can play!
Just finished your game, rated and left a comment on the rating page! I think the controls are great with the fact that it is toggle based, makes it a bit more challenging. The only feedback point I have is the AI use for the voice, but I also get wanting to embody that in a very short time is quite tough. It would have been fun to see you give it a try to speak very roboty/monotone and pitch shifting in post :)

Would love some feedback on what to improve!
The art and ambience fit together really really well (great style!). How the light works in the game also feels like adding something to that, so well done! Two feedback points:
1. I did run into a big bug though, I went for the rocketpart on the right first and then when I got back to the middle and interacted, I got the credits cause I could already complete the rocket. I played again and this was also the case if you got 2 parts.
2. Some of the items are a bit too spaced out, especially if you go left first and you need for example that keycard, it feels as though you need to walk quite a while to retrieve that.
Overall again a super solid submission though, especially love the art and ambience! Are you continuing development after the gamejam? If so, definitely count me in for playing it! :)

If you have time to look at this would be appreciated,
We tried to make a game that didn't require any words for instructions, and I'm wondering if the entire game feels intuitive.

Thanks, I'll check out your game now!
Just finished playing your game, and I think you've done very well on the game feeling intuitive and not requiring any words! All mini games were clear on what to do and I do really like the simple yet heartwarming message with it in terms of stopping to procrastinate. Well done and congrats on your first jam! :) Will rate and leave a comment there too
If you are still looking for games to play, I'd love to get feedback on mine:
