Fun little game with some great art, music, and sounds, good work!
But it does not fit the theme.

Yes - I'm new to game jams!
How does your game fit the theme?
Well, I thought about doing it for the story and make it that the invasion is just getting started. Couldn't figure anything else out.
The game seems simple and fun. It took me a couple tries to complete the game. The game isn't hard but the glitch forced me to retry the whole game most of the time.
Really cool art style and I loved the environment of the game! Had so much fun! One thing I would suggest is that when you open the drawers for items they would be shown somehow before picking them up. Now when I first opened them in the first room, I did not even realize what they did because i was standing so close to them I picked up the items right away and there where no visual indication. Amazing game for your first project, keep up the good work!
fantastic gameplay. I ended up room farming the first level for pistol ammo (going in and out of the room) and still couldn't beat the boss on the other side of the locked door
Really impressive for a first game jam, sound effects are nice but some of them sounded a bit too sharp. Also i got a bug where i got knockbacked and clip thru a wall. Other than that, games pretty nice!
It really gave me off project Zomboid vibes, with just guns and werewolfs… with that being said I loved the game, but I would just liked it if the enemies were a bit faster to jump to the side and didn’t just fall off in the middle of the platforming section, but overal a fun game :D
Hey, this was a fun little ride! Loved the vibe pixel art was cool and the blood splats gave it a nice horror feel. The controls felt solid, weapons mid-chaos was actually kinda intense 😂 I did clip into the floor once (classic jam bug lol), but honestly, for a solo project, this is super impressive. Respect for doing it all yourself keep going, you’ve got something cool here!
Aesthetics in this game are really cool. I love the art, really impressive to create all of that in such a short time. The horror vibe is super cool, but it doesn't feel too scary because your player is pretty powerful. Few bugs, but you can't be expected to fix all of them, don't worry about it ^_^
I enjoyed playing the game (at least until a zombie knocked me out of the map). Pretty fun, love the simple controls. Keep it up!
I loved the game! The boss fight was really tough (in a good way). Also, huge respect for doing everything yourself—that’s impressive.
In my game I used assets for pretty much everything 😅. The only custom stuff I made was the floors and walls… and honestly, they don’t look that great yet.
But hey, that’s part of the process! This is a great first game—congrats!
Thanks for the feedback, helps a lot! Oh man that first boss needs improvement and ways to jump over it or something, I know it's a little unfair. And yeah, I made the sprites, watching a bunch of tutorials haha, and also the music which is where I'm most confortable. Gonna lower the volume for sure, thanks!
oh man that boss was difficult
i am glad to see that you did your first game jam learning all by yourself, the game has its own style which personally i found appealing. however, there was multiple times where I got stuck inside the platforms, unable to move
i love the idea of combining this survival horroresque thing with platformer. personally enjoying more the former than the latter, I like to see aspects of this game such as recharging the weapon and getting ammo, that makes the game more interesting. Also like you put variety in weapon options.
If you would like to expand this game, I think it would be a great idea to add some variety to enemies and fix the wall collisions.
Salute
Yeah! I also ran into the wall collision bug myself haha, I just didn’t know how to fix it in time, but I’m definitely going to put some effort into figuring it out. And yeah, my plan is to expand the game a lot more, more enemies, more bosses, more weapons, a story, a bigger map, and even a whole new area. I’ve got a bunch of ideas for this game.
Thanks so much for the feedback, it really helps a lot!
I really liked exploring the place to find ammo. Killing the aliens is very satisfying.
Unfortunately I've clipped on the walls many times and had to restart the game. Also I felt overwhelmed by the final boss. Seemed to not suffer damage from my bullets and I couldn't avoid its projectile. Really liked the tension you built while approaching it though.
Congratulation for all the work done, making all the art and the music must have taken a lot of time
