Drag'n'drop is sometimes a bit tricky and the tight time limit meant I couldn't really understand what I was cooking. A constant rush to prepare as many dishes as possible. But it was fun playing!

It feels a little dull without music and SFX, but is enjoyable!

A nice idea. It would be better if the graphics were a bit better and if there was an OST, otherwise the game is nice

Cool game! I really enjoyed it, only critique is the hodgepodge dishes are a bit op.

I appreciate you putting a short tutorial at the start of the game.

Having the hodgepodge dish does make the game a bit too easy - It seems you can beat the game without discovering a single recipe.

This may be a good thing though because I am inundated with milk and carrots and can't make much else - the aliens must think it's a local delicacy.

Cool game! The concept was really  cute, but I struggled to remember the recipes. I noticed you put them in the description but they weren't anywhere in game play. Would've enjoyed it more to have access to the recipes so I could do combinations that got more points. Thanks for making this!

Nice game!
And thank you for adding the tutorial, it was very helpful!

Pretty good game! Some notes:

The visuals are.. Technically good looking, but in my opinion they don’t really have any charm or substance to them. I made a rough poster loosely based off yours, it took about 10 or 15 minutes to make. And in my opinion it’s a lot more visually pleasing than the one the AI you used generated.

If you want to get better at graphics: I highly recommend watching this tutorial!

But besides that: The actual gameplay!

I really like how you can combine the food to make new, unique meals, just a shame that so many combinations defaulted to the hodgepodge. (Potential dish ideas: Egg-mushroom-tomato, “Gourmet omelette”, lemon milk sugar “Lemon smoothie”, etc…)

Also, in the future: You could possibly add a way for the monster to get stronger, after winning, like if you beat the monster once, then the time to beat it goes down faster, or its health increases.

But I digress, you did really well for a first game! Especially given the three day time limit. I hope to see you improve!

In conclusion: Pretty bad graphics, fun to combine ingredients for dishes, consider adding progression by making the game harder gradually.

Please don't use AI. Learning to draw isn't so insurmountable. You just gotta get started. I would have preferred ms paint drawings than this. AI steals from artists.

Great job for a first game jam !!! U’re going to go through a lot of dissatisfied people concerning ur use of ai for the sprites, and it’s okay, next time grab your best drawing tools :D For the font here are some resources: https://fontesk.com/ https://velvetyne.fr/ And great indie game dev journey to you :)) see you in other jams

There was an audio setting but no audio, I don’t know if that’s a bug or not. Anyways, quite an interesting concept and I enjoyed it, and I encountered no bugs. The use of a large embed on the website made it hard to see the whole screen at once, you should enable the itch.io fullscreen button (or set up your UI better so that you don’t have to make the viewport large to not break UI). You could have also found a custom font, like come on. I don’t appreciate the use of AI, but suit yourself. Good work :)
