Use of the limitation
In our game, the restriction is implemented in different aspects of the game. Time is our enemy, so we need to cook faster, so the timer limits cooking. But time also affects the characters in our story, as the son grows up and the mother falls ill.

It's adorable! I was so surprised when the bento game changed to a different one. I did not expect it from a small game, great job :D
I'd recommend making the first year much shorter. I was about to quit the game when year 4 suddenly changed to year 5 :D
Also, for me, after year 10, it was always back to year 8 :(
