Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
With the world being covered in darkness the player is unable to see the way ahead. The only way to find out what lies ahead is to just get started and death is rewarded with a larger amount of the level being shown.

It’s a really cool concept, my only real concern is how much more you can really do with it? Though in fairness I’m pretty inexperienced in puzzles, so I really don’t know how much you could do with it. I’m sure there’s something you can do with adding more mechanics to augment the main level design, maybe something like an enemy that has similar death mechanics to the player, or some kind of switch that needs to be held down by a past life? I dunno! There’s certainly some potential!

This is the first time I've seen a game utilize your remains both as light sources and platforms. Combined with the quick respawn system and frequent checkpoints this felt like a fun exploration puzzle game.

We are using the same model 😂

Fun: Using the corpses was really fun, and the platforming was smooth as well

Presentation: I like the art style, especially the player 😂, the shadow and light were done well too

creativity: using corpses as a light and a platform was a great idea

love the idea of using the remnants to both see where to go next and as platforms! not sure what purpose destroying a remnant has though.

Developer(+1)

Destroying them is mainly just to help with repositioning as you can only have 5 at one time so it's there in case you mess up a placement, and thanks for playing! <3
