I like the concept... the art is good, the sounds work well together... But sadly I could not really advance on the game due to the bugs, I did managed to get one coffee to a customer but then lost the ability to interact with things afterwards... would love to return to the game again if you ever polish it a bit more.
I like the visuals and the whole concept behind the game. Despite having a tutorial, I somehow didn't get how to make a coffee at the beginning, so I offered plain water to some customers haha, which surprisingly worked (well I didn't get gold for that, but they took the drink)
Then I learned how to make it, but I ground the beans first then didn't know how to get the water. Do I need to get the water first?
I think it'd be nice if I could hold/drop items at anytime, so I could organize myself better (like, pick up the mug, put water, leave it at the table while I get the coffee, etc). I don't know if it was possible but I didn't figure it out.
Pretty cool idea, though
Admittedly, the tutorial was very rushed and completed in only one hour on the day of submission. Didn’t had time to flush out many things. But the order is:
Get mug -> collect water -> place it down somewhere Collect beans -> grind beans -> put grounded beans into mug with water Put mug + water + grounded beans on top of the fire place until its steaming, then serve it.
So yes you can actually put the tray + beans and mug + water down on the table with the G button :).
As for the customers, ermmmm, my excuse is, they don’t know what’s a coffee so they willingly took the plain water you served them :)
Something about the name of this game speaks to me, probably cause I drink lattes all the time XD. I like the 3D assets and the idea of serving coffee with a physics system in a medieval/other world sounds intriguing. I can see this becoming a fun and unique game.
Hahaha I was looking for new game project ideas while drinking my usual morning lattes when I thought of this. Typically fantasy worlds are depicted with taverns, where people drink beer, and I was thinking “Wow, fantasy worlds must have sucked. Imagine risking your life fighting monsters without any morning coffee.”
Had some game breaking bugs looked like a fun idea tho
