How does your game fit the theme?
Had no idea what I wanted to do, decided to use the theme as motivation for me to "Just get started" with making my first game prototype for a game idea I had

Cute game, reminded me of an old PS1 game called "overboard!" ^^ and good job for a first game, with different enemies etc! Only thing is, I don't understand why you accelerate with "s" and slow down with "w", that's really counter intuitive!
I'm a sucker for ship combat and I really liked the way you created it in a topdown perspective as I haven't really seen it done before. I can see the game expanding to have more ship types, upgrades, maps and more! Great job, especially for your first jam!
Very cool game. The movement was tricky to get the hang of at first, but was fun once I got used to it.
nice game!! making everything from scratch is difficult and considering this is your first game is impressive!
Hey, neat game you have. I feel like you could expand this more with more upgrades as you are sailing around. I feel like you could have also added the controls to the UI instead of the description, since it's a bit unintuitive at first. Great work out there!
I love sailing games, even tho it is very barebones, I had fun with it, UI elements for health, sail levels (or animate the sail getting full) and pointers/indicators towards offscreen enemies would add a lot to the game experience. Congrats on your first game and I hope you keep working on more stuff! ^-^
just noticed that I'm dumb and missed the UI completely on the lower corner... ignore that bit of the feedback :P
Very promising idea! It would be easier if your health and the sails and stuff were displayed more clearly. Since the controls are kind of hard to remember, maybe they could even be written on the screen somewhere so we always have a reference. Good job and congratulations on your first game! You should be proud!
Great job finishing your first jam! This was a really creative way to do topdown combat, and way more fun than my first project!
It was fun and the design of the game is pretty good. Had a bit of a hard time with learning to properly use the controls.
Was very fun. i always loved pirate games and this definitely tickled that itch.
I liked the different take on top down ship combat. Firing to the sides rather than in front of you has you developing completely different tactics. Giving them a full broadside as you zoom past them is very satisfying! Nice work!
Very fun! Good job with your first game!
It has promise! Good first run
