Newbie

Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
Since the theme was "Just Get Started" i thought about it in a (maybe) more literal way. So in Boot You Up you are an AI that has to start itself to escape a facility.

Wow - really taken aback by the ending screen, that looks incredible, and is a great contrast from the color palette of the rest of the game (which also looked really good!)

Really great concept that led to some really interesting puzzles! I wish it was a little clearer which pipes were connected, but it was generally pretty intuitive based on their placement.

Amazing game, especially considering you’re a newbie!

Really fun and clever puzzle game! The levels are thoughtfully designed (even if level 11 gave me a bit of grief), and the concept of turning on the monitor to start was such a nice touch. The art and sound are great, and the robot is just adorable. I’d love to see more about its story in the future, especially after that ending that gave me some serious Mega Man vibes. Great job, this was a joy to play!

This is awesome! Amazing job on this game! You all did such a good job with your puzzle game! A lot of care went into this for sure. The animation of the robot waking up and wandering off was so cute! The levels were not too difficult either and can see my niece and nephew really enjoying a game like this! Really really fun, and great job all! Oh also the whole PC layout and needing to boot it on was such a great touch!

This is great! Really excellent puzzles. Actually designing stages once you've got all the mechanics working is a lot of work, and you clearly put in the effort there. The conceit is super imaginative, and the transition from the sterile blue greys of the facility to the vibrant sunset in the completion screen made for a very effective send-off. Fantastic work.

Lovely art, sounds that fit the theme of the game and addictive gameplay! Good job on completing your first jam!

Good first game. I ran into an issue where the charge moved at different speeds in some levels. But other than that a good timing puzzler.

Off rip, having to press the power button to boot up the computer is fantastic design. The music is catchy, the UI is clean, and the puzzles make you think just enough. Little guy just wanted to see the sun (ಥ﹏ಥ) Fantastic job

Es tu français ?  The game is really beautiful, and well thinked ! I usually don't like point and click, but this one don't feel like one ! Really cool !

Developer

Je regrette de vous informer que non, je ne suis pas français, je suis argentin. Thanks!

oh ok !because the word "fin" means the end in french, and it is the word you used at the end of the game in the background.

Very cool game ! AND THIS IS YALL’S FIRST JAM ??

I loved the art, and the originality of the puzzle. Very snappy and charming !!

I think it would have been nice to have a little indication of what can be clicked, like an outline on hover, or things that stands out more from the background (like in old scooby doo cartoons).

Very nice work :D

Thanks! Yes, this is our first jam, but not our first game, this is our 4th game (two released, one in development and another one got corrupted), thanks for the feedback! Also, loved your game, one of my favorites in the jam!

Cool Idea! i dont  usally enjoy puzzle games but this one was really fun!

Super creative idea! Physics based puzzle games must be a hassle to make and playtest, but I feel like this one works very predictably and smooth. The timing was quite tricky at times though, even once you know a fitting order. But maybe that's the point and I'm just too tired right now hahaha (Also the art and music are super nice!)
