How does your game fit the theme?
As three unemployed engineers, we fully know the feeling of waking up in the morning and having no agenda, no stand ups, no obligations, and no income. And with the job market the way it is now, it might seem like there all hope is gone. Having survived the DotCom Bust (one of us) or the Financial Crisis (two of us), Funemployed was forged in that spirit of perseverance and rebuilding to bring a bit of humor to a unfavorable situation. Whether you are a fresh college graduate or a grizzled veteran looking for the one last rodeo, gulp down that cup of joe and get out there. We can make it. We can find a way. We will be ok, as long as we Just Get Started.

I really liked how the minigames got more and more chaotic as time passed, fun game!

I like the minigames, and they're very creative, too! The theming is super fun, though the games were a little basic. Some other small improvements like menu music would have improved the game, but that's more a matter of having more time. Within the timeframe, you did a really good job! Making multiple games in one is difficult.

I actually rebalanced the bean counter on the last day to prevent this exact scenario. I was making thousands easy by just spamming wrong answers.

I like this a lot - very humerous, and the minigames were creative. Well done.
Wow there's too much going on. I thought it was a simple minigame but then became chaos.Perhaps the simplest way to have fun is to multiply the amount.
Simple to chaotic was the vibe we were aiming for, but it's not everyone's cup of team

Awesome job for your first jam, great job team!! A lot of really nice design choices such as the dynamic music that ramps up when the timer gets low, and the wacky chaos of the plethora of shapes at the end of each game as the work slowly overwhelms you. The writing had some funny moments too. The minigames were simple but pretty fun. One critique would be to have some kind of endgame, whether its a short cutscene based on how much money you won (or lost) or a goal to make x amount of dollars; as is it felt a bit anticlimatic when finishing the last minigame. That being said I had a good time playing your game and its full of charm and whimsy. Keep up the good work!!
That's my bad. Sunday morning-ish we made the call to cut that because it was too close to deadline. In retrospect, maybe we should've went for it. Ah wells, 20/20 hindsight. Thanks for the comments!

Perhaps some of the minigames ramp up a bit too fast, but in all honesty, that's kinda part of the fun, I chuckled when the cakes started overflowing in the cake minigame (duh). I am officially broke, but I am broke and happy, good game!
Thanks! We definitely went back and forth on how zany we wanted to get and how quickly we wanted to get there, but glad you had fun even with the over the top-ness :)
I like how creative some of the mini games were, and you absolutely nailed it with the feeling of despair and overwhelm at some of the games. Also the egg company is terrible and i went into super debt for it. Also it wasn't my fault for being fired from the cake factory!
I like how it fits with the theme, though I wish there was a clear goal to what i was working for. I might have missed it but I wasn't sure what I was working for at that point.

Yeah, the narrative stitching/endgame was the part we'd run out of time for, so we put all our eggs in the gameplay basket
I love just how quickly every game devolved into panic haha, it was great! (Also reading the theme interpretation was unexpected but very appreciated - i just graduated college and just cant find any work. thank you)

I wasn't expecting 4 mini games inside the game. Creative! I found it hard to grab the cake parts since they were moving so fast along the line hah hah =p

Minigames have been fun, though maybe a bit disjointed from eachother? wasn't sure what the "connecting part" of the game is, aside from doing some minigames. Still, well executed, so can't help but like it :p
