There’s a lot of potential with the puzzle mechanics. I got up to stage 7 which had one more block that the fireballs could interact with. It’d be cool to expand upon these mechanics after the jam, and possibly see how each block and mechanism can interact with each-other.
Okay, I can do that!
I love the general art style. And the puzzles are cool! Found the most interesting thing is to keep fireballing and stay in midair. Overall a great work!
Awesome job! I made it all the way through and beat level 7! I noticed that it was also possible to play an old level and it would unlock the next one lol as I played the first level again as I wasn't sure what button got me in the elevator lol. Really cool idea and I love being able to swap the art style! I also really like the music for level 3, could jam out to that for a long time haha! Cool puzzles, cool ideas, love my bouncy flame friends!
Glad you enjoyed it
Very good game, i just can't figure out what to do in the level 4, also was stuck for 3 minutes in level 1 trying to figure out what key to enter the elevator haha!
I did like the concept, but I got stuck at level 1. I couldn't figure out how to get into the elevator. Or whether I was doing anything correctly.. It seemed good but I wish that I could've had a bit more knowledge or visual explanation.
So you basically want to throw a fire ball at the dark looking box which will it lights up and you will hear some type of elevator ding sound telling you that you have opened it. It's probably the filter I'm using, but if you press 0 you can off the filter to see the color of the light above the elevator door which indicates if the elevator is opened or not.
With all that being said, I will try to find a better way to show what needs to be done.
Cool concept, really liked the art style too. There's some pretty narly skips in some levels (6 and 7 I think) and the key binds can be improved as well but that's mostly minor stuff.
i think you shouldd practice more on your art style, also make inputs on ASWD, but after all its good
Gotcha, I thank you the feedback 😊
I like the idea and I love the art music and sound effects but im going to be honest i got stuck on level four but I really enjoyed the previous three levels and the game is really good so good job
Thanks. Btw, what part of the level you got stuck on? Was it because of the button placement, fire boxes (or torches), or Was it the timing? 🤔
it was the start of the level so the fire boxes
So if you already have noticed the fire boxes light up when you press the top button. You can use the fire boxes to reset fireball's "ticks" I'll call it to 2 when it touches the lit up fire.
So you shoot a fireball a tile before the buttons, the fireball is able to bypass the switch blocks below since the button isn't pressing pressed. As soon as the fireball is up there, step on the bottom button up until the fireball reaches the the top floor. While it's up there, quickly lit the fire and stay on the bottom button up until the fireball passes the wall. After that, to get the switch, step on the button again and for the generator don't.
I know that was a lot, but that's my fault on my end for thinking this level was a bit to easy when my brother beat it in at least 4 tries.
