Game Description
Well, at this moment, the game is unfinished. BUT! It was supposed to be a game where wolves try to attack your campfire and you fend off these wolves. Killing the wolves allow you to either restore the health of your campfire or level up yourself. Follow me on itch to get updated about the progress of the game :)
How does your game tie into the theme?
The campfire consumes the souls of the enemy to sustain itself.

I like the vibe you are going for, the player model looks nice and the implementation of the consume theme sounded really good. Keep working on it and im sure youll get something great :)
Thanks so much! This means a lot, especially coming from a fellow game dev. Can’t wait to keep polishing it!
I would like to see the finished Projekt!
Thanks! Follow my itch page. I’ll post updates there about the project!
The artsyle is very good and the gameplay you intended to impement has lots of potential. Cool concept to keep working on. Keep it up!
Thanks so much! It make me really happy if you‘re willing to follow along my journey in creating this game! :)
Really cool graphics and art style. Really love the idea of the campfire consuming souls, wouldn't mind playing the full game if you ever completed it.
Thanks! I‘m ecstatic about finishing this game too! Love for you to follow along!
You fixed your dimensions somehow!
Becautiful artwork and a very good idea. Hope you'll take some time to improve it after the jam. Cheers!
Thank you for helping me fix the dimensions! (IDK how I did it lol)
Nice art! You should really continue on with this project!
Thank you so much! It would be GREAT if you could follow along in my journey to finishing this project!
Even in it's just-started state, I can see the beginning of a cool atmosphere for this game. Congrats on the submission!
Thanks! Seeing all these comments, I'm more than motivated to continue development of Dying Ember and it would be awesome if you could follow along too!
The concept is really cool, I’d love to see it fully finished someday! The hardest part is getting started, now it’s just a matter of polishing it up, and I’m sure it’ll be fun to play! :DD

Nice assets. will be interested to see finished project
Thanks so much! I also can't wait to see this project get completed too, it would mean a lot if you followed me.
I like the concept and hope to see it live on. Art has a great feel.
Thanks! Glad you like the concept. If you'd like to see where it goes next, I'll be posting updates on my itch page as development continues. No pressure, but I’d love for you to follow along! Either way, appreciate the kind words :)
Yeah, there is not much to say, I am even able to kill the one wolf I see.
Ikr this is a lesson for me about scope creep
props for still submitting! I like the direction of the art the animations felt smooth. No fullscreen button though that I could find so I did miss out on the bottom half of the art. Happy developing!!
Thanks for the art compliment. I‘m working towards finishing this game in the future!
The art looks great For the movement instead of only using the arrow keys maybe also use A and D since most games will use those.
Yeah, this game is still in development. I started it too late for the jam and focused too much on the art. Thanks for the suggestions!
While the game is unfinished, I still think it's good that you submitted something at all! A lot of the time, the hardest step to trying something you want to do is just starting it at all, and you've already accomplished that step!
Unfortunately, scope creep got the best of me in this game jam, and I was unable to finish it.
Really wanted to try this one based on the art, unfortunately doesn't look playable...
hope you can fix it in the future
Thanks! I'm planning to fix the game and add more mechanics.
If you'd like to see where it goes next, I'll be posting updates on my itch page as development continues. I'd love for you to follow me :)
Not sure what was going on, the window didn't seem like it was sized right and I couldn't figure out any controls.
Noted! Thanks for the feedback!
