Transparency note
This game has 3 total endings!

Before i joined the jam, i had an idea for this game and decided to search for a topic that suits my idea. Limited lifetime was perfect. All assets, animations, code and everything else was made during the jam.
I used ai but only to fix a single line of code because of errors i couldnt fix nor find anywhere in the docs. It was the only time i used it, please dont disqualify me for that.
It's my first ever game made in GODOT.

hope you like my game :)

Very short but fun, tbh I don't think it's even possible to run out of time without wanting it (or maybe I'm just too good at the game :3) but I think you could have remove 10 or 20 seconds to the timer to make the game really stressful!

And also, the starting screen (the how to play) is way too long, maybe you should had a button to skip it.

I love the main characters sick hairdo. His general look and animation style SCREAMS Pivot Animator to me, which I love. I'm not a fan of the stereo panning of the tornado siren sound, it seems to be centered around the coat hanger(?), which doesn't make sense "in universe". At first I thought it was just panned hard to the left because the tornado siren was over there, but then I went outside and noticed that the sound was centered right around there.

Great interpretation of the theme, and I like that all the art is your own!

Yeah, the guys hairstyle was based off of Fancy Pants, great flash game that made my childhood.

Just what I thought, love those games!

Really good endings, impressive you have 3 different ones, nice!

Great game! I got all three endings! If you haven't yet, it would be great to have a button to press to skip the How To screen. Also coding stairs is a killer and loves to make it harder to jump on them.

In godot the characterbody2D node type can handle slopes well. Increasing the value of floor_snap_length determines how strongly a grounded player will be prevented from walking into the air on slopes.

Cool, I didn't know that! Unity is much worse at handling slopes. However, the stairs to the attic are impossible to jump on, while the ones to the basement work just fine.

is good :)

The "You decided to accept your fate"; while casually sitting on the grass outside made me giggle! Fun little mini-game, I managed to get all 3 endings! :D

I enjoyed just walking out of the house lol

this submission was quite fun. it kinda reminded of "Meteor 60 Seconds!". for your first game in godot, its a really nice game. you should improve on the art, and the character has a white outline around it. i would recommend adding wasd controls to as well as an interact button such as [E]

I really enjoyed this submission! The concept is fun and reminded me a lot of the intro to "60 Seconds!"

Developer

Thanks, i think i heard it reminded other people of this game too!

Nice concept and cute little demo game, really loved the stick man graphics, they were really unique!

Developer

All animations thanks to the Pivot Animator software! I couldnt draw them by hand.

I had fun playing the small demo, Hope you continue elaborating this game idea one way or another :)

Developer

thanks!
