Nope - I've completed at least one game jam before.

How does your game fit the theme?
You are given no directions for controls or mechanics. The player has to "just get started", by experimenting with buttons, objects, and combos to figure out how to play the game.

Great gameplay loop, I like figuring things out on my own so I appreciated what you went for here and the variety of mechanics you implemented, also great use of the color palette. I do wish the enemies didn't always track you, they were always stuck running into walls and it felt a bit unfair when the shooting enemies were introduced and they could shoot at you from off-screen. Oh and I wish you had put a warning upfront about the music getting louder after dying, I always use headphones and if I hadn't lowered the volume beforehand that would've been really really loud.

Yeah, I didn't give very advanced tracking for the running fellows, so I could probably raycast from the player, outwards to see if any enemies should be tracking. Then if the rays stay in the screen, it can let the shooters know to shoot/not shoot which would fix the other issue. As of for the volume-- I've now fixed that! Thank you for the feedback!

nice idea!! it's a pity you could'nt implement the original idea of starting black and white, it would have been so cool

the movement was a bit laggy, maybe because of what you say in the decription about air resistance

Fun idea for a game! I do think the lack of directions didn't really do much besides confuse me, but once I figured it out I had fun!

Neat game, liked how you had to figure the controls out yourself, but a bit difficult in later parts

Nice game ! Sadly not AZERTY friendly ): I struggled because arrow keys are just too far from the jump button and the mouse so I had to twist my hand to get to the A and D key, wich was hard because I also had to press Shift and Ctrl X)
Besides that great game with lovely visuals and music and a lot of mechanics !

I'll definitely need to add settings to my next projects! Thank you for all of your kind feedback, even though it was difficult to play!

Like the idea to explore the mechanics - yet i failed at the first large jump after the first two enemies.

But i would suggest mentioning the return to menu key - someone might has to start over his far progress.

Presentation was nice.

Thanks for the feedback! I've added a little section on the game's page for the controls. The main menu doesn't have any settings and it's not too long of a game, so I didn't feel the need to; will do in future projects!
