Artistic Statement / Use of Theme
Coastal Keepers covers a wide range of perspectives through different characters. A variety of disasters, both natural and human created, afflict the environment. Our game shows how community and coming together is extremely important; working as a team is necessary for progression and benefiting the community.

Development Summary
The original idea chosen was a tower defense game; this idea evolved to include a story portion as well as having a fantastical element to it. We originally intended to have more flexible world exploration, but it wasn’t within our scope to do so. In the beginning we had to work around team members leaving and having enough artists to keep the workload manageable.

Release Plan
Currently our game still requires some bug fixes so the itch page will be updated after initial submission. We do plan to work on a patch for this game to make it fully releasable. However, after that there will be no further updates on the game.

As the other comments have already said, a tutorial for what to do/where to go at each stage of the game would be very useful. To me, the art was the standout part of the game, but I can see where the base of the tower defense mechanics and I think that they could be expanded/polished in the future. Overall this is still a cute little game that just needs a little polish around the edges. Keep up the good work guys!

I think you should reconsider and keep working on the concept of the game. It's polished, and the concept is simple; keeping the coastal area safeguarded is a great idea on its own.

The game might need a little more fine-tuning on what the tower does and explaining it a bit. But, other than that, I really enjoyed the game. I hope you all reconsider the game because it's a pretty good tower defense game with a platformer perspective. It's a pretty good one.

I had moments where i was really enjoying myself with the usual tower defense mechanics from your game! I think you guys have really good foundations for what you want the game to be and it shows. I think the game would have really benefited from a tutorial or at least an explanation of the mechanics and what each tower does at this stage because I could tell you guys have a bit more. Overall, i really enjoy the aesthetics of the main screen and I can feel your game's core gameplay loop shining through at times.

I enjoyed playing your game and I think that there's a lot of cool work done in terms of the art and writing! I'd love to experience the game again if it's completed. I think it'd be a nice feature to add a pause menu for the player to easily exit the game as well.

I really enjoyed playing the game that you guys have so far. I made it through two of the tower defense levels and talked to all of the villagers. I love the concept. Once you guys finish up the debugging and art, I would love to see the work again.

Good Job!! :))
