How does your game fit the theme?
The main character wants to just get started making games, or at least that's how he was supposed to be...

Really nice entry for your first game jam although the player physics probably need a rework because it feels a bit more heavy reducing the gravity a bit would help also the art looks good but there are some points in the game where you can improve like the tiles the lava ground also if you added sfx and music in the game would make it way better i know you probably did not have enough time to add this to your game but overall great game, also if you dont mind you can give my game a try im sure you are going to love it.
ok so , for a 2d platformer , the character feels a bit heavy . But from a realistic standpoint with the physics , the movement are actually very nice with the acceleration and the velocity of the character which is what would you kinda expect in the real world. Its good. Can you try out mine ?
Pretty fun! I would love to see a complete version! :)
That was actually surprisingly fun. Those jumps need to be almost pixel-perfect on the last area there. I really loved that speed-up effect. I felt if I had just a couple more pixels of wiggle room on my jumps, I would of really loved it. Well done.
I think what was interesting was the use of certain obstacles that slow down and speed up the character and I think this is pretty cool and could be expanded upon. How does the environment affect the player's movement? Great job for your first Jam 💪
