Yes - I'm new to game jams!
How does your game fit the theme?
It's basically the first game I've ever made and is basically a future passion project that I want to make despite looking very rushed. This game jam was basically my motivation to start learning how to code in godot

It's a solid start, keep going! If you want to improve in the programming part, I would advise you to restart with something more simple, and to do several small projects. Everything you learn will get you closer to be able to do the game you really want!
I can see where you are going with it but it definitely needs refinement. You may want to see about getting a buddy or two so you can focus on your strengths like the animation. I hope you continue refining it.
It's a solid start! It really makes me want to see the finished animations. Maybe the camera could be a bit lower so the ground is more visible, especially when going down. Also, it would feel more satisfying if we could perform multiple actions at the same time.
I love the main character, they're very cute! There were a few issues, such as knockback sometimes clipping you into the wall, or the fact that since you can't see below you, it's possible to be stuck with an enemy below you without any way to continue. However, for a first ever game, I think issues are to be expected (my own game was literally unplayable until 2 hours before the submissions ended). The weapon switching ability was cool, and even though they were unfinished, I liked the combo animations a lot. Did I mention the main character is very cute?
