TYRANT incorporates the theme of Power through its sanity system which deteriorates as you make increasingly desperate decisions to retain control of your kingdom.
The core mechanic is that you can die from having too much or too little power in any aspect of ruling a kingdom.
Power slowly turns you from a ruler to a TYRANT.

Woah I really liked the game! When I saw texts are changing, I thought it's a bug or smth. But I really liked when I realized. It is already a published game, but I think you can continue to develop it. Maybe changing the assets and interface? For example we can see inside of the king's castle or smth like that idk. It can be a game like paper's please
lol you're not the only one who thought the text effects were a typo/glitch at first - I'm glad you liked it. I think you're right that this could def be expanded upon - probably going to upload a vid about my game then see what the feedback looks like after that. If it's really positive, then I might push for a full release but fingers crossed on all that haha...
This was really fun, although I kept losing because the public loved me too much haha
Yooo thanks for playing . Perhaps the balance could be tuned a bit better in the future haha... I should probably give players more incentive to do bad things that the public won't like, because naturally I feel like most people will want to do "good" things as a ruler.

I started going mad early, embraced the insanity and ruled for decades. It really reflects reality :D
Such a professional setup and a well executed idea. I really liked the insanity mechanic and it caught me by surprise. I thought "oh they made a spelling error" ... "wait am I having a stroke?" haha
Wait how many years were you able to reign? The furthest I got during development was year 18 0_o

Really clean layout and design I dig it a lot, I love the 1-bit pixel art style that's my favorite to use also. Great job awesome entry :)
