With the recent post with Itch, I want to bring into light not just the NSFW content and flagging, but in general the entire movement of restricting freedoms in general.

Does anyone remember the south park episode "Cartoon Wars"? It was an episode about Family Guy showing the prophet Mohammed. Many people were afraid about retaliation in the town and just buried their heads in the sand while Cartman worked on getting the episode pulled, proclaiming that once that episode got pulled, you could then cancel other episodes over more trivial matters.

This, the removal and restricting of NSFW content, is similar to that.

For Itch, whose to say I could not get 1000+ people, peer pressure mastercard, and now LGBT+ content will now be forced to be removed? Oh, I'll do it to furry content next, and then fantasy.

It's a stepping stone to removing more and more content that isn't liked on the grounds of peer pressure. Because it's been done. Because it's being done in the USA.

I am producing a Twine work that speaks about the removal and restriction of free speech, but it's on my SFW account (I keep the two separate) I might link it when I'm done to my NSFW one regardless, but we'll see how initial feedback goes.
