Yes - I'm new to game jams!
How does your game fit the theme?
I set the game inside a time loop, so that it would continually be "just getting started." Originally that would put a timer on the player, but in the end I ended up axing the set time limit in favor of one triggered by events that happened in game.

I can see you drew some inspiration from the first Legend of Zelda. I like the "figure it out on your own" angle like from that game. Could use just a bit of polish, music and some hit feedback on the boss come to mind. But overall, not a bad little game, great for a newbie.
It was pretty fun, but THOSE FIRE BATS were SO annoying!! Legend of Zelda (:
Of course, the game was massively inspired by one legendary game. The art style was fitting, and the concept was fun. Sadly, there was no music, and it was not always clear what you needed to do. Keep developing and you will fix this issue. Overall, it was fun and a bit addictive.
Well done on your first game jam. Presumably you like zelda as well, was a nice game to play! If you're gonna work on it further can perhaps take a look at making fighting enemies feel better :) (me struggling with the bats, I like the smart AI, but might just work better with slower random movement)
Those bats are crazy hard to get, really enjoyed the game!
The game is fun! Perfectly encapsulates a game jam version of Zelda. The boss is too hard at the end but, apart from that, it's a great puzzle.
I had a fun time, but damn, those fire enemies and the boss are really hard, so I haven't been able to fully beat the game
Nice game, graphics look great Zelda game esque. Wish there was more of an incentive to fight enemies, something to consider if you want to develop this game further
It is realy fun but I can't find the final torch. Skill issue I guess
