Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
On top of having the title of the game be a play on words on the theme of the jam, it is an opportunity for both Ted and our team to get started on an adventure.

Super fun, enjoyed the "bong" noise on the "Z's" and also enjoyed that i was traversing what seemed to be a poorly written homework assignment haha. Super clever idea and was challenging at some points and kept me going back for more to try and get further and further!

Developer

Glad you noticed the poorly written assignment lol, we had a lot of fun making these questions filled with nonsense haha.  Thanks a lot for your great feedback!

it's always nice to use text as platforms. the presentation, main character and sfx were fun and well made. platforming was quite unpredictable, but it was a matter of using the momentum in our favor and avoiding staying too long on the ground. there's definitely some room to expand on this game idea!

welcome to the world of game jams and keep making games!

Thank you so much! It was a great first experience and I do hope we keep making games in the future.  Your comment is greatly appreciated :)

Nice game, was initially turned off by the momentum based movement. but the more i played it, the more fun it became! nicely done. also i like how the texts are the platform

Developer

I totally get what you're saying, it really takes a some time of adaptation before being content with the movements, but once you do, you can do some neat little skips haha! Thanks for your comment!

The artstyle was really fun! I liked to opening cutscene as well. It really gave me the motivation I needed to try and get a star

Developer

That’s very nice to hear, thanks! I wish the cutscene worked on the web version as well, I do think it gives motivation to complete the challenge as you pointed out.

Amazing intro! Great idea to make the test the level, very clever. I like how Ted's tongue jut lols out. I'm very bad at platformers so I didn't make it to the end, but I enjoyed the humor of the bits I played. Well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm glad the tongue got the praise it deserved lmao. With the fact that our game doesn’t have checkpoints and how precise some moves can be, getting to the end sure is difficult, even for more experienced people, so don’t worry about it!

liked the intro haha! platforming is hard at times and I agree with the last commenter about checkpoints. overall pretty fun!

Developer

Glad you liked the intro, we sure had fun making it haha! Thanks for the comment :)

that's a silly twist on the name.

so, some platformer action, pretty neat! i like the unique style you went, but i'm just saying this could really use checkpoints. unless there were some, i got to the point where squares started appearing and there was a cluster of xs in the middle, died there, restarted back at the beginning. also maybe less on the precise jumps, that was a little annoying.

Developer

Hey, thank you so much for playing our game! The game indeed needs checkpoints I agree, we just didn't have time to implement that system lol. I also got frustrated a lot on the precise jumps, especially with how slippery Ted can be haha. Thanks for leaving a comment!
