Newbie?

Experienced

Nope - I've completed at least one game jam before.

How does your game fit the theme?
You play as Mr. Green, a disgruntled employee of Internet Friend Corporation. As a disgruntled employee, you spend your time at work with what he knows best: gambling. Mr. Green has big CEO dreams of his own, but he can't get started without capital! And not to mention his performance review in half an hour, where he's SURE he's going to be "let go."

Players must put both their money and employment on the line in the hopes of making big bucks before being fired and finally starting Mr. Green's company!

fun: LETS GO GAMBLING, I like that it's not just gambling and that you can try to stop at the right time.

Presentation: like the art style, did you draw them or were they assets, also missing sound effects

creativity: not bad, just get gamblining, fits the theme well 馃槀馃槀

Could have used some music and/or spinning sound effects, but at the end of the day... LETS GO GAMBLING!!!!! Ah dangit

I like the IT messages, very fun and silly. The gambling was a little hard to actual win and have a long run however I might just be bad to gambling LMAO, but definitely wouldn't mind more matching options and/or something on display so I know (how close I lost). Nonetheless, very fun and I like the retro aesthetic :D

I will never financially recover from this. The messages were fun and I liked the classic windows aesthetic but it seemed hard to win anything, some form of strategy to apply would be nice. But then again, maybe my next run will win it big...

thanks for giving us your hard earned real life physical dollar bills!!!!

the balance is definitely one thing that i'm kicking myself for neglecting to check lool. i also really should've put it in the game or the description somewhere but the payout condition starts at 3 matches anywhere on the board, which isn't clear at all in hindsight.

little company secret: while payout starts at 3 matches. the multiplier gets higher with each match. and as we all know, 99% of gamblers quit before they hit it big, and you only lose when you quit! so get back in there champ!!

(disclaimer: real gambling isn't a good idea so give us your fake money instead)

jokes aside, we've immediately started development for a post-jam update containing the "real game" and are working to get the original vision out as soon as possible, hopefully you check it out  whenever it's ready and thank you for playing our dumb little game!!

Haha I feel myself seen as  the IT guy! :D (Definitely don't gamble on company time, trust me bro)

The messages are funny, but the gameplay felt kinda purposeless, as the money didn't really seem to have value. " THE BIG WIN" many gambling sites promise seems unrealistic, as getting 5 identical items purposefully is just as rare as hitting them by luck. Having no music made the game a bit dull, normally we feel gambling sites want you to keep playing as long as possible, with music helping that.

The art is great though, really liked it!

You see, the game is impossible to win as a tactical, and purposeful decision which serves as a commentary on the pitfalls of gambling in the real world. /j

jokes aside, clearer instructions and actual feedback slipped my mind during the jam. the payout conditions are a lot more lenient than a five line match, with wins starting at 3 symbol matches anywhere on the grid.

music was also something that i regret not being able to put in, but the "real game" will have probably the greatest soundtrack that you'll ever hear in the history of literally anything so

but thank you for playing our stupid little game!! we're hoping to release the "real" post-jam version soon so hopefully you check it out whenever it's done cooking!!
