How does your game fit the theme?
It's about a newborn sea turtle making its way to the sea to begin its life there. Also, it's not just my first jam game and my first shared one, but also the first game that I've made without copy-pasting a whole tutorial of "Making a full game."

I love how cute the turtle looks, and even thought there were only crabs and seagulls, they were really well implemented, and the music fit the whole I鈥檓 a helpless turtle please HURRY UP vibe, I just wish that instead of using your shell as a shield you would just turn on your back and spin so you gain some sort of speed boost or dash-like abillity, but overall a really fun 1st game :D
Creative concept + cute lil turtle + great gameplay mechanics, it was very fun to play and i would say that its a bit underrated in this game jam
Also my one suggestion would be to make it completely mouse-independent by adding a key for shell so that people can play on laptops easily.

I wasn't expecting a difficult game 馃槀
but man the controls are simple, and the art and overall vibe was great, I did really feel like a helpless turtle so props to that haha, final stage was brutal but satisfying to overcome, I do wish that you'd slow down on seagulls a tad bit, certain times it didn't really seem fair, but maybe that's the intention then it's fine!
Overall had so much fun with this one, as a fellow newbie, congratulation on finishing your first game! 馃帀
Super cute turtle! I loved the movement mechanics and enemies, the last level took me like seven tries ngl, but it was a skill issue.
The last year I released some baby turtles in the beach, this game took me back to that trip. Good job!

At first I thought the controls seem to be a bit wonky - but my little turtle brain soon caught on and it was actually quite genius.
Loved the slow introduction to the new patterns... was terrified at the final stage ... and sweaty after getting there in actually 2 tries.
Loved every moment of it - nothing I could add to improve - great job!
