We’ve decided to temporarily suspend the sale of the game on itch.io.
Recently, itch.io has seen some changes in policy direction and increasing uncertainty, especially regarding adult content. This has made it more difficult to continue distribution on the platform with confidence.
In addition, even the payments already made by many of you have not been processed. I currently have no clear timeline for when, or even if, I will receive them.
This is one of the reasons I’ve decided to move future releases to a more stable and creator-friendly platform.
We’re happy to announce that Doki Doki Health Checkup will soon be available on the official Saikey Studios Store, in a fully localized version with support for:
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
This version will be uncensored, preserving the original artwork and full expression of the game without any image mosaics or content restrictions (yes, that includes those scenes).
To everyone who supported the game on itch.io: thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We’re continuing to look for ways to deliver our work in a more open and creator-friendly space, and we hope you’ll follow us on this next step.

Does this mean we'd have to buy the game again or will exist some kind of patch that let us update without having to buy it again?

The version on Saikey will be a newly translated and uncensored release, distributed by them as a standalone product.
Unfortunately, due to platform and distribution differences, I won't be able to offer a patch-style update from the original itch.io version. There are no plans to update the itch.io version either.
