Judge feedback is anonymous.
- With a maximum judging period of 5 minutes, I wasted entire 5 minutes putting keys in the lock. Based on the description, that does seem to be the intended experience. From a technical perspective, the game functions without noticeable bugs or discrepancies, and it does align with the theme. Your GDD is currently quite minimal and could benefit from more detail and visual support. Including images or GIFs to demonstrate key mechanics. I recommend reviewing the provided example document. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Vl7BMvzUOhbunJrI_X1gUc6x-LAp3aaBiPwHUf27B70 It is A game.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes
Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarize your game!
Pretty simple just drag a key to the lock and try open it.
Please explain how your game fits the theme.
The Theme was only one.
I decided to make a game where only 1 key works
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
How many keys you get in before you fully rage quit

I hate you. Good job.
This was stupid in a fun way. I love stuff like this. A testament to how sound is important to keeping the player going. Kept wanting to hear that doo doo ding success sound lol. My initial game idea for this jam was a key game inspired by the flying keys in Harry Potter. I was hoping this would be something like that kind of a where's Waldo but still great submission. :D
This game is the fucking worst. But then, i think that was your intention, wasnt it? Good job.
yeah i wanted it to be annoyingly enjoyable ty for playing
your game is really strange because it's just *awful* to play and completely unfun... but thats the entire point, and i really respect that. I'd like to watch streamers play this
amazing gameplay 👍 check my game

this is a game, maybe adding something like upgrades could help, i had frustration playing this game, it takes time to use the keys and finishing a level is met with only the same thing but it takes twice as long.
getting more sprites for the keys could help too maybe
yeah fair comment, could defo have done more but as a first jam submission and my 3rd ever game i just wanted to do something.
That's amazing to do something at all, i Just made my first game with this jam, good job !
There's something to it) But please, speed up the animation! And make a failure sound a bit quieter)
ty for feedback, ive sped up the animation and hopefully the sound is a bit quieter
Definitely an... interesting idea.
I got stuck on the first round, after I put in all 4 keys the game was in a mostly softlocked state. I reloaded and got to 32 keys before quitting out. I do enjoy the sound effect of the keys and just the visual of shaking back and forth, but that doesn't really fix the problem.
Yeah, im trying to fix the softlock Its just hard to replicate and then . Ty for the comment :)
did i win.
Urgh, Ty for this... I thought I'd fixed that little bug... Darn it. I'll have another look at it maybe I'll look at some fail safest.. thanks for reporting back
Pretty simple game. Thinking back to Harry Potter, it would be cool if the type of lock was a clue to the key. Maybe even educational, like the lockpick lawyer knows certain locks have certain keypaths and number of pin settings etc.
That's a cool idea yeah. Probably a little beyond my scope at the moment but something I could look at at some point in the future
