- GDD The GDD is perfect, full of details. I don't have anything to add. Good work. Gameplay Interesting take on the theme. The gameplay is super tight; I was not expecting to have so much variation of runs depending on items or characters. You did a lot in such a short time. I can feel the BoI influences on this MVP. And boy, when you say speed, you mean it. Art design Very unique art style, full of little details. It gave the strong vibe of dread the player character should be feeling but is totally not; dude is having the time of his life. Sound Design Again, I can feel the BoI inspiration on the tunes. Very well done. The BGM is a treat, and the SFX is very responsive. But the volume was rather loud; some mixing would be advised. Little thoughts That was a game that I had to force myself to stop. Very well fleshed out in such a short time. Good job. Took me back to the Flash days. Also, the links on the menu don't work; it says "link copied," but nothing is copied.

Yes
Summarize your game!
Hellraiser is a ONE ROOM roguelike that features Buddy, the protagonist, who was sent to hell and breaks out. Controls are all displayed in game, but to navigate the menus, simply use your mouse.
Please explain how your game fits the theme.
There is only one room, there is also only one life. The only one room thing is what fits the theme the most. Also, there is a mode where you can take only one hit.

i like it!
i don't really get the part where you get downgrades when finishing levels, or upgrades maybe? i got a chainsaw that i didn't understant and a ball that divided my speed, making the sprint an absolute necesity.
Simple, but fun!
But I'm not sure you actually need sprint. If you keep it, I would add some FX or sound for it, so a player could actually tell the difference.
Also "DASH UPGRADE - K" in controls was confusing. I guess, something like "Dash (upgrade required)" would suit more.
Loved the story, and usually i like to skip text, but your custom art made it easier to go through the story part without skipping. I loved the control i had while playing, the wall jumping and sliding allowed me to get to any place so i can hit even the flying enemies. The menu copy link buttons dont copy anything. Its probably an issue with the way itch.io embeds the game. And when i clicked on speed, it gave me speed input button. I wasnt sure what to do, and i didnt want to change anything i wanted to play the default game, but that input button covered the play button so i had to restart the page. Most of all, the art stood out. I loved the style with thick outlines.
Nice intro scene and title. Had all the platforming mechanics you would expect, but jumps felt a bit floaty.
