They have been suppressing things for years now, mostly targeting Japanese websites and games from dlsite, fantia, pixiv, etc. Them going after itch and steam under the mask of collective shout is nothing more than what it is, a mask. The only people responsible are the payment processors.
Payment processors like MC/Visa go back and forth with supporting and denying payments with NSFW content (whereas eg Paypal rightout bans it). It depends on how they're informed about the platforms they're used in, like now how CS made them now aware of steam and itchio.
It is ridicilous to even think that Visa/MC are putting up this type of theather of CS being their "masked front", when before this they didn't have problems with processing NSFW games on steam/itchio. This is further evident by them being okay with accepting payments from Pornhub until they got sued about supporting the site. They don't have to do this "scooby doo CS masked front" masquerade when they allow all kinds of sources of money until they get in trouble with the law. They stop when they are bothered by law.
With this recent Visa/MC ban with NSFW games, the perpetrator is CS. Visa/MC didn't have problems with accepting payments with NSFW content (edit meaning nsfw games on steam/itchio) before CS started to pressure them. You think the billionaire elite would turn down money unless by law they have to? Everything happens in the dark before it's put into the spotlight.
I will admit I generalized my comment's beginning with the "global porn ban", my mistake. I should've said "recent porn ban with games", since it is true they've always been at odds with NSFW content.

As much as I don't care for a lot of leftist bullshit, let's put the blame where it actually belongs: the credit companies want to control what you can buy to begin with and pressure from groups like Collective Shout, Exodus Cry, and Morality In Media give them an excuse. The only counter is to apply more pressure to them from the opposite angle. This has happened before and has been happening for a long while. Instead of bitching about whatever "wokeys" are, contact the credit companies and complain. If you're in the USA, where most of these companies are headquartered, add that you'll file a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau... and then actually do so. If they get enough formal complaints, they'll go after the companies.

Buying solo games nowadays is mostly about showing support anyway. It is trivial to pirate games like this, so losing access is not that big of a deal, just annoying.
DLSite was already gutted by payment processors last year. If you're outside Japan, you only get a limited catalog. If you are in Japan, you can't use Visa/Mastercard, but at least they have JCB.
Plus, eccma already had trouble with DLSite before. Very little chance he would go back there.
i mean the main reason eccma took his game off dlsite was because of the support taiwan launchscreen was not allowed. So considering that launch screen is gone in the newer versions it probably is fine on dlsite’s part. Regardless eccma doesnt like them anymore so i doubt he’ll put it back on that site though.

What’s even funnier thing is that pirates button has been activated with the words - "Our time has come" and they started to promote games that censorship wanted to block therefore censorship guys only untie hands to the pirates but did not achieve anything. Welp yeah... many h-games are still available for download and I would even say almost all h-games even if you can’t see half of them or 99% of them in the game library it doesn’t mean that the h-games have been removed or something like that... buuuuut... mostly the developers themselves have suffered now more because of that h-game censore pressure thing than a regular user because developers losing thier time and losing money and of course most importantly the nerve cells because of someone + it is not clear what can happen next... Does it make sense to do something with my game or not? Should I... update and add something new or not? You know... these questions that come into your head and drive you crazy because you really don’t know what’s right or wrong. So... in some sense we should be supporting different h-developers right now even if you can’t support them financially then at least support them morally and no matter are you a pirate or not just support the h-devs because this is a very specific situation that may affect everyone in the future and because It’s more better than just saying that everything is over.
