I really enjoyed Cauldron Matholicon! The magical theme combined with math challenges creates a very immersive and creative experience. The art style and atmosphere are fantastic — great job!
One thing I’m not sure if it’s just on my PC, but the character sometimes starts moving backward on its own. Also, instead of the interaction windows opening automatically when approaching objects, it might be better if players had to press a button or click to open them. Sometimes I was just walking around the lab and the interaction windows kept opening and closing repeatedly.

Hello!! Thank you so much for playing our game, we really appreciate it :) We worked really hard on the art, design, and atmosphere, so your words mean a lot to us. Thank you so much!! Yup, we have been working on bug testing and we caught that issue as well - we plan to fix it before voting is over, and re upload it once voting is complete., perhaps sometime next week. I also like the idea of the panels being button controlled, and that the button you are supposed to click on being activated when you approach each table - I'll discuss with David and see what we can do. Thank you again for your kind comment!

We really liked the aesthetics and the concept, and we encourage you to keep working on it because it is clearly a more ambitious project that has not had time to be polished. As a suggestion, the text was difficult to read due to the font size and contrast with the background.

Hello! My apologies for the late reply, and thanks for your kind message! We totally agree - something Anjal hopes to do after judging is over is make sure the game is as accessible as possible - there are some standards online that apply to accessibility in games, and we're hoping through a combination of research and user testing that it will be possible to make this game the best that it can be. Thank you for your belief in our project, we're excited to improve the little community we have created :)

I really like your concept, and the visual representation for addition and subtraction are excellent! I think the SEL component may need some revision; in my experience as a teacher with children in your age group, those kinds of questions are frequently integrated at the end of lessons, but in a game, you may want to be a little less open-ended to encourage a higher level of engagement from your players. Beautiful soundtrack and designs, can't wait to see your expanded levels!

Hi Alyssa! Sorry for the late reply, and thanks so much for your message! It means a lot to receive feedback from a teacher who works with this age group - Anjali and David both have worked as CS curriculum developers and educators with different age groups, so your advice will help us make this game better! As we improve this game and add more levels to the game over time, something we hope to do is user test or playtest the game with teachers and students to make the game better. It was our first time using this framework, so hopefully we can incorporate other frameworks (like UDL) as the game expands. Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate you!

Very cool! I love the moonlight atmosphere and peaceful potion brewing. Unfortunately, I can't rate it because I didn't enter the Jam, but I'm excited to see what else you can add to it.

Thank you so much for your support! We spent a lot of time iterating on the look and feel for the game, and we are happy it's a relaxing experience

Very unique and original! Love the purple theme. The art definitely looks like time was dedicated to getting it all together.

Hi!! Thanks so much for your time and kind reply, we really appreciate it! We spent a lot of time deciding how the environment was going to look, and we are so happy it paid off! We hope to add more levels where we would look to add more intricate storylines, division, multiplication and fractions, etc.
