Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous.

  • The GDD feels a bit short and could be expanded by incorporating elements from a standard GDD template like the one example from the front page of the jam to provide more in-depth explanations of features like Path A* for the enemies — without going overly technical. Including images to showcase the game’s art direction, along with some concept art, would also help convey the vision more clearly. The main menu looks good but could be more engaging if it featured an animated scene. An options/settings button would be valuable so players can adjust sound and gameplay settings early on. A visual indicator showing valid monster placement areas would improve clarity, and a early upgrade for passively generating dungeon points could add depth if there were more monsters that are expensive as later-game content. I also noticed that some enemies can walk through walls as if they’re ghosts. A specific bug occurs when placing a skeleton in the corner of the first room — it spins excessively, briefly lagging the game. Additionally, enemies don’t seem to scale in difficulty over the days, which could be addressed with some balancing adjustments.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarize your game!
A unique take on a rougelike tower defense. You are the dungeon master and must protect your dungeon from waves of adventurers. Purchase monsters from the shop and survive as many days as you can.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
You only get 1 chance to protect the dungeon

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Maybe not too much attention (cause its not perfect) but the AI and how it brings a unique take to the tower defense genre

Orc together strong! Nice game

Challenging! I tried spamming the dungeon with orcs, but they aren't quite enough to defend the path

Thanks for playing! The orcs might be cheap but they are not very strong, its the zombies you want I made them a bit too powerful and didn't change it in time.

Well that's easier! Thanks for the hint. Stun lock is still a bit frustrating, but I can defend my dungeon now mwahahahahaha

game's pretty easy. some sound Effect and Juices will make it more alive and giving more feedback.  feel stuck if you fail to kill the Adventurer at the first day.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I didn't do a lot of balance so in some parts the game will feel easy like you mentioned.

I love the game; it seems like the foundation for something really cool if you expand on it!

Reminds me a bit of Dungeon Keeper from 1997

Thanks for playing and enjoying the game even though it is a rough prototype. You got it right with it only being the foundation, I do have plans to maybe continue making the game into something more fleshed out and polished.
