Great job as your first game. Proud of you homie
Great job on your first game! Difficulty ramp up was manageable, and the mechanic was fun. I'd love to see where you'd take this if you keep working on it!
Outstanding for you very first game! i remember seeing some progress pics of this and was excited to play it, the pickaxe mechanics are really fun to play about with!
The game is a good challenge, and the mechanics are cool, but I would suggest adding a button that can take the player back to the checkpoint.
That aside, this game clearly prioritises gameplay over looks, and I like that.
Really nice game mechanics!
Really cool the pickaxe mechanic, reminds me of getting over it
this game is hard! definitely doable but a good challenge. I like that the lil guy's legs retract into himself as he jumps ha
I really enjoyed the gameplay of mixing jumps and the pickax to get across the levels. Also I think the difficulty level of this game is well done. Fun times.
Took me a few minutes to get used to the controls, but actually pretty fun and challenging. Nice job!
thanks:)
I feel like the jump could be mapped to UP, and the ledge grabber could be made automatic / paired to pause to make the gameplay easier?
yeah the way i implemented every thing may not have been the best but hey at least i learned! tbh i had no idea some ppl preferred to have jump mapped to UP but now that i look i do see a lot of games doing that. thanks for playing:)
very fun game actually!! The clicking + jumping mechanics are a bit difficult, but actually a lot more doable than many games out there. All in all, enjoyable experience!
thanks! the mechanics did turn out to not be very intuitive but happy you enjoyed!
