- This was really fun, easily re-playable. But. The UI and bills are tiny! I would like it to scale up a bit larger, I was able to scale it up 200% to be comfortable but not everyone has that as common knowledge. It was very hard to read the bills, even if this was a design choice, it ended up with me with good glasses leaned in far to close to see. Which was sad because the design overall is nice to look at. Overall, simple and very enjoyable to play. The GDD was well done, don't short yourself and post the work you have done, even if it's just the UI. And list where and links to assets you used. Even if it's a freebe use from a store! Very good concept and use of the theme in your own way. Besides the scaling it was a goof sit down and play over. Even if you expand on this later with more types of currency it would make it a good time burner. Mental games as simple like this are always welcomed! It seems simple but it good for your brain to do puzzles. I would even like to see other currencies as levels or skins.

Summarize your game!
The player's mission is to eliminate counterfeit bills from circulation, earning points equal to the total value of fake money removed.
• Only one-dollar bills are genuine.
• Click any banknote to select its denomination.
• Then select all other bills matching that value.
• When complete, all selected bills are destroyed.
• As bills are cleared, some empty cells repopulate with new notes (real or fake).
• Once in a while, when the grid is full again, random cells update with a (potentially) different bill. Singles never update.
• Selecting a real bill sets the player back $1000 and instantly ends the game.
• Otherwise, the game ends when only one-dollar bills remain.
Please explain how your game fits the theme.
It’s in the name of the game – You Only Leave Ones. Only one-dollar bills are genuine; you leave them untouched. The game ends when only singles remain in the grid.
Additionally:
• Only one mistake (clicking a one-dollar bill) ends the game
• There’s only one control needed to play the game: mouse click or tap
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
There's a small bug: an additional soundtrack starts on every game restart. Just stop the music and restart it. FWIW, I made the game in a hurry – less than three days of the actual development time. No game engine, just JavaScript with Svelte.

This is just a prototype put together in a hurry. The fully developed version is available at https://yolo.bmgomg.com.
Pretty simple. I was making it out to be harder than it was at first. Kind of hard to see the bills on a smaller screen size but I guess that might be part of the challenge?
Thank you for playing. The game being simple is by design. The challenge is to train your brain to quickly extract specific images from a larger set of similarly looking ones.
I do share your preference of a larger screen for this game. But it is playable on mobile too, and some people, interestingly, prefer the mobile version.
The visuals and sound effects are superb! There was a lot of clashing syncopation in the soundtrack I thought, but the tones and musical idea is good for this!
Thank you! Yes, it's a bug. An additional soundtrack starts on every game restart. Just stop the music and restart it.
