  • The GDD is solid, and it’s great that you used a proper template while crediting the original—an important detail many overlook. Adding images in the art section would give valuable context for the game’s environment and visual direction. Since the game focuses on puzzles, an in-depth section explaining the core philosophy behind the puzzle design could make it even stronger. I’m also glad to see a Gantt chart as the development timeline; not many new jammers take advantage of its usefulness, so well done. In-game, I noticed a fullscreen visual bug where the main menu overlaps with the play screen, likely because fullscreen wasn’t accounted for in development. I enjoyed the humorous animation of the key breaking the door. I managed to break, flip, and even electrify the key, but I wasn’t sure how to progress beyond that. The hint system didn’t offer much help. It’s definitely a cool puzzle concept, but in my limited playtime, it wasn’t something I could solve quickly without prior experience.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes!

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes!

Summarize your game!
Our game is a quick puzzle game set in 9-10 rooms, players run around figuring out all the ways they can utilize their grandfather's old key to solve the mysteries of the dungeon (I made that second part up just then).
Much like a metroidbrainia, the game can be won by solving ONLY ONE puzzle, but figuring out *how* to solve that one puzzle is the meats of the adventure.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
There's ONLY ONE puzzle, there's ONLY ONE key, and there's ONLY ONE thing to do; JUST SOLVE IT!

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
First ever game please be nice

Well you stumped me. But I managed to duplicate the key in two different ways. One by dropping it while insterting it into the mirror, and the other by janking it with the 3 part slots. I read two notes. Just couldnt figure out the main puzzle. SPOILER I have an idea that it has to do with the other meaning of key but thats all I got
