very cool

Very cool and tricky platformer - some sections did feel a bit trial and error tho as i had to break a block and jump without seeing what would be coming!

Also it took me a while to realise you could wall jump lol :o

very nice game, really like the movement! though it could use some sfx/music, and the stage after the one where the spider was introduced felt like a big difficulty spike

Developer

oddly enough, the music and sound effects were already ready but I couldn't implement them in time. I think I overestimated the difficulty from stage 4 onwards. As I play Celeste a lot, I didn't realize that the levels were that difficult.

this was fun but i got stuck at the 4th? (might not be right) level where you jump on the wooden boxes, unless im missing a mechanic idk how to climb up the left side. this was fun otherwise and i enjoyed the difficulty

Developer

I think I fell into that development problem of having played so much that I became so good at the game that I didn't realize it was too difficult for someone who had never played it.

dash mechanic is cool! I couldn't figure out how to use the pickaxe though!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, you get the pickaxe by pressing the (E) key or the (X) button on the controller, I was going to put up signs with the tutorial but I didn't have time

ah i could pick it up, just not use it on the wall!

The controls in this game felt extremely polished! Definitely got big Celeste vibes from this game! My only suggestion would be that since dash is bound to the mouse button, it made it hard for me to disconnect the direction i was dashing from the direction my mouse was pointed. It'd be nice if it was tied to that instead of what direction you were moving, I think. But otherwise this is a super well polished game, well done! I couldn't figure out how to get past the spider, though.

I understand, thanks for the feedback, yes, the movement was what took me the most time, I wanted it to be precise, I imagine that actually using the dash with the mouse can be confusing, I tested the game with a controller so I didn't realize that this was a problem

I definitely got the sense that this game was made for controller! I didn't test it with my controller, I'll have to give that a go!
