I pirated Lona a while back, but the Karens and my own nations retarded "protect da chil-unz, dis is todally nowt a surveillance fing bruv, honest" law coming into affect has finally prompted me to buy it for real. Thankyou Karens, thankyou evil UK government. You persuaded me to support a genuinely good game dev.

I don’t know how to react to this from a positive point of view or just... with a negative... Amm? Phahahahhaah...

You've made the right decision. All you have to do now is to deal with your government. I suggest Neuro-sama as a new Prime minister, and Evil Neuro as a new Queen. Or vice versa.

A short rope and a long drop. Or alternatively, I do have a Danish Axe on order from a blacksmith friend.

i did notice that many players pirated LonaRPG before buying it, claiming something like "playing the game made me realize its worth supporting the dev for it" lol.

Not a fan of these sea bandits but thats just a fact at this point.

Sea bandits are probably considering the purchase of the game as a voluntary donation, not a purchase.

Yeah, people pirate it to see if it's actually good, like a demo. If there were no pirating option than those people would never even tried the game. And after they like it they buy it or even promote it by making content, localizations and there was even a cosplay (with nude pics too). Piracy is like a marketing tool now. + pirated version becomes outdated and users may want to buy licence to get a fresh release.
