I absolutely Loved this game, such a fun taken on the theme and the puzzles were fun and intuitive. it never occurred to me the solution to the sundial, that was the only part in the game where i felt the text "maybe it's the wrong time of day" was a little misleading.  (time progresses as you walk to the right of the screen, so i kept walking back and checking on the dial as i moved to the right every few centimetres.) From your comments you said you were unsure if people could figure that out so I think that's why you put that hint text in, but I found the hint text made it harder.

I also had a teeny tiny little bug where at the end, clicking on neither option actually put me in the option to the right somehow. this is partly my fault for having the sort of mouse that requires you to click to wake it :P

This is a really minor criticism for an incredibly fun game. I didn't know games this short could be this cool. It's clear the dev (a solo dev!) worked hard on this and I genuinely think they have a future in the industry. The art style was super cute and bahhbrah has my entire heart. (I want a plush of her?) I wish there was an extra option to feed her directly, I have 4 carrots, right? let me use one on that sweet baby!

This is a brilliant testament to what you can get done in a short amount of time. LOVED it. Is there some way to follow you as a dev? If you do more stuff in the future, I want to see it!

I've enjoyed my time with this game. I was a bit lost at the start running in circles trying to understand what I have to do but eventually I found it and then things started progressing smoothly. I don't want to spoil things but I believe somethings should have been a bit more "obvious" Maybe visually ? Other than that, I like the artwork and the idea here. Keep up the good work!

Just a small but thoroughly enjoyable game. Feels very polished and the "puzzles" were all either intuitive enough to figure out or resolved themselves over time (looking at you, sundial).

Developer(+1)

the sundial was definitely a worry spot for me in terms of people playing it, but play testing showed that it kinda just worked itself out lol!

thank you so much for the kind words, and for playing my game c:

I liked it, the game has this nice combo of pleasant atmosphere and the air of mystery. Some parts of the "quest" were much more hidden than the others, but also finding them was satisfying. Played through it twice to see both endings.

thanks for playing my game c: I always love hearing people playing through twice! seriously, it means a lot c:

Neat little game, but to be honest, I don't quite get the time loop concept. Sure, the further right I move, the further time advances in the day, but my actions still have permanent consequences. I don't have to bring the blacksmith new tools every day, so is the looping just a spatial thing? But then it somehow saves our island from certain destruction?

I chose to break the loop and die, which was kinda anticlimactic, with just the text display - I don't know what the other ending looks like.

Developer

thanks for playing, and for leaving some feedback. You've honestly hit the nail on the head of a few things I would've done better given more time. Especially regarding the time looping, it was there to begin with, but ended up being more frustrating than cool, and I didn't have time to polish it.

I still think my game fits the theme well though, as you are still constantly looping around a ring (kind of a loop as well c;) shaped island.
One of the endings did get broken from being a web browser version, for reference, it was supposed to close the game. Which I think added some charm to that.

Regardless, thank you for taking the time to play, and to leave such detailed feedback! I really appreciate it c:

10/10
the art, the exploration, the story which even has a good twist for something so short, everything fits together to make an awesome game :D

Really loved the game! The music was sweet and the art was cute. I chose the die option at the end and now I'm wondering what if I pressed Wake up. Gotta play again to find out!
Edit: replayed and I should've guessed that ending XD

thanks for playing! appreciate it c:

Honestly, I think this is the best game I have tried for this jam, at the time I'm writing this comment. What an amazing work for a solo dev ! The game is charming and intriguing from the start to the end, the visuals are cute (the trees remind me of some zelda games on the DS) and the music is surprisingly great, with a really chill vibe which fits the game perfectly. Moreover, that's a really good take on the theme, both at a spatial and a temporal level. Also, the duration is perfect for a jam (not too long, not too short). Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my time playing this game and I hope it will get more ratings and visibility.

Again, that's an amazing work, congratulation to the developer !

PS : I have to adress an honorable mention for the sheep : I love him ! :)

Fun game! Cool implementation of the time loop concept as a side scroller where time passes. Also the pixel art is cute :)

Cute and fun game — I really liked the storyline!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past the level with the key — maybe something wasn’t working on my end.
It would’ve been nice to have a hint there.

Developer

Thanks for playing! sorry you got stuck, perhaps there was a lil thing that was missed c; either way, thank you!

The visuals are lovely, and the time changing as you move mechanic is brilliant. I was a little lost at first, but the puzzles slowly started making sense. It would've been cool if it went back to daytime as you walked rather than the "sleeping" screen, but I suppose the character needs to sleep lol. Cool stuff!

Developer

i did want the map just just loop constantly, but given the timeframe, i had to settle for just sleeping :p tysm for playing my game tho!

interesting concept, nice art style

Very well made! Nice story and great visuals, and amazing vibe. It was clear what the purpose was after one rotation, well done!

Developer

thank you, that means a lot to hear that c:
