Wow amazing game!! I saw in the comments this was your first time making a game as well, and that's really awesome.

Loved the music for this, and was really happy to see I could shoot diagonally! Great job!

Spritework and music is really cool, its a cool idea that the music gets more instruments the more enemies you kill!

A lot of fun! And a good reminder that sometimes in life the best way to deal with our problems is to face them head on and throw toast at them.

Love the pixel art! The diagonal shooting is a nice addition. Sadly I'm bad at it and only got 700 score xd

Thanks for giving it a go! The sprite work is all my friend Small Fish, he took the little concepts I made and really hit a home run on the designs.

Got a score of 2000! Really really loved the music layering, the vibes were immaculate! After a few enemies it became easier to guess where the waves would spawn from - I would perhaps use a bit more randomness (assuming you dont do it for later enemies)?

Thanks for playing!! Yeah unfortunately I ran into some issues with the enemy spawning behavior and had to simplify it a ton. This was my first time actually making a game so I was learning as I was going! I do want to keep working on this game in my free time though as I continue to learn and grow!
