cool concept, I was actually surprised to see a saving system in a gamejam game, there were some problems, like not being able to continue when getting to the boss, but it could be a fun and polished game in the futere!

I like the concept, but the game is certainly a little confusing (I know you said you were rushed-- so not a big deal.) However, when I got to the boss, neither Play nor Burn did anything and I couldn't play any more. I also felt like the enemy was just spamming shields all the time and I couldn't make any progress on killing them. With a little polish and bug fixes, I think this would be a very interesting game. I really like the burn mechanic, and the backgrounds are very pretty. Nice work !

Very sorry for the lack of a tutorial and a few major bugs, the project is a bit rushed so i did not have time for it. If you are thinking of tryng this, please take a few minutes to read the project description, as it would contain information to give you a easier time playing, thanks!
