How does your game fit the theme?
Player drives a car to a destination, then that car’s path replays in a loop. The player then controls a new car, adding another replaying car to the road each round. If the current car collides with any looping car, it’s game over.

very cool concept. great job.

This is a very very good concept, It needs some work but the driving feels good, the style and the sfx is very good, and the idea is amazing. Very unique. However, some suggestions:

  • I feel like a better view of what is front of you or at least a minimap would be better. There was a lot of times that I went into a dead end and I had no idea about it.
  • I think instead of instant fail when you hit another car, you should give maybe a reduced score for that specific car or a time penalty or something else.

But honostly this game has a lot of potential I would definetly continue its development after the jam. Good job on the game.

Oh super interesting concept I love the idea behind creating your own "obstacles" It felt like real traffic at times since all the movement became natural without ai. Really clever!

That said I would have maybe made the map a little smaller so it gets chaotic more quickly. Especially in a jam you want to get to the juicy stuff as quickly as possible.

I appreciate the sound but it did become a little repetitive since it was quite droning. Maybe some slight variation between the cars or some music to along with it?

The arrow is a nice unobtrusive way of indicating direction but can be a little misleading since I guess it is always pointing straight at it?

Thanks for detailed feedback. Agree with all inputs but since it's a jam game I ran out of time to implement or finish it. But I do agree with all the feedback. I will improve with other games and upcoming jams.

The driving feels amazing ! Really nice job !

I love how smooth the ride is

Actually an original concept for the theme, creating traffic with a lot of cars)
Imho this game could have been much more intuitive is it was grid based and with a lot more cars with a top-down view. (like a busy city-center parking simulator)

Developer

I agree. I wanted to do a lot more but I stayed awake all night to finish it and slept all day during the next day xD

I will try to be more intuitive in terms of gameplay for my other projects like for Brackey's jam.

It needs a minimap!

Developer

Yup that could help. Initially I wanted a top down birds eye view, but for this map and asset it was killing performance. I need to improve my perf skills in Unity. Thanks for the suggestion.

Really like the premise, but the direction arrow is kinda misleading - couldn’t really navigate due to the same. Think it’ll be better if the direction arrows showed up on the road rather.

Developer

Thanks, I actually tried doing that but since I'm new to Unity I found really hard to do it.
