How does your game fit the theme?
Tower defense game, but we loop through place-able row for your towers. Also loops through element type and our row swapper (unique mechanic)

Great idea! I really like the penguin sprites ✨ well executed and great game overall Keep it up 🙌
Interesting idea and cute characters! One piece of feedback I could give would be that when I first started the game, I was a bit lost and didn't really know what I should/could do, some sort of interactive tutorial could make the transition between starting the game and playing the game smoother. Congrats on the cool game! 👏
Cutteeeeee
There's a bit too many mechanics involved in this, which feels like it's there for the sake of being there. A general principle of design is a "Why? What? How?" question (Why are we designing this? What does this do? How will this be made?) and it seems like you focused on the 2 latter rather than the first "Why?". The elemental mechanics wasn't adding anything (in its current form, it can add depth layers in combination with others). But since I could place things on each row only for a short amount and that was limited, those mechanics were confusing more than helping.
Otherwise, good artwork, and definitely a good attempt! Just wish it tried to find the fun with a smaller core before layering on mechanics (I have been guilty of this many times myself), but you'll learn that anyway with successive game jams!
The elemental looping feels pretty tacked on. when the player doesnt actively have control over which element theyre choosing, it might as well just be randomized, since they cant think about using it effectively. The row-placement loop and elemental loop give the player very little agency, and while the row swapper (unique mechanic) might alleviate that, it still feels like it is mostly out of the player's control.
I think that by making the rowswapper, the elements, and the placeable row, all go through their own loops, the overall game feels confused, and it feels as though you weren't confident in any singular looping mechanic.
Very valid points! I wanted to have the player need to plan ahead based on what they have access to at various moments of the game. I thought it would add more of a strategic element, but I think it wound up causing players to need to lean more so into chaos😂. I think more emphasis on elemental buffs/debuffs may have forced players to make that connection, but balancing was something I neglected due to time. Appreciate the feedback and hope u had some fun with it albeit the shortcomings you described!
Cute take on a pvz-like. Could use audio for confirmation cues and ambiance, but otherwise a fun concept. Good job :)
Tysm! Glad to see u enjoyed it! I agree audio would no doubt be one of the next steps! 4 days with a full time job is not enough time😂
Unique take! The swap mechanic took me a while to figure out! But would love to see a full game! Art was S tier!
Thrilled to see the art is getting positive feedback! It certainly took the most time! Tysm!
Certainly a different type of game! Loved the art and as other comment said... PvZ vibes!
A really cool and awesome game. Really reminded me of PvZ, but waaaay harder than the actual game. btw could you rate our game 2?
Thanks for the positive feedback! PvZ was an all time favorite for me! So was fun to make a similar concept! Yes I’d be happy to checkout ur game as well!
Umm, great game, but the thumbnail is likely ai?
Honored to think it was AI... it was many hours in procreate, then when it came time for submissions I didnt have the energy for making something better for the thumbnail so I just slapped two sprites on an image and threw on a title lol
I think it didnt like the plain white background. I just changed it to the games background and it looks much better! Sorry to give that impression, but Imma take it as a complement! And happy you thought it was cool!

Sorry lol. Thanks for understanding XDXD
The art style is cool in this game, and I like the premise, but I had a lot of trouble figuring out the controls.
