This is a fantastic entry and a very unique approach to the drum loop ideas I've seen. Had a great time, cheers :D

Thanks for playing and for your kind words! ❤️

Really unique idea for a game! I wish there was some exciting pinball-y music that you could build your loop along to.

Developer

Oh I would have loved to find the time to get some more non-drum instruments in - originally I wanted to have some bumpers that scored more points and cued synths to play! Anyway I totally agree 😜 thanks for playing!

Props for providing a Linux version! Only the second drum loop game I've seen so far. Connecting it to a pinball machine is a cute idea, but I do have to admit I didn't really try too much to optimize my loop for the machine (and I'm also not sure how I would go on about that), but just had fun playing around with the loop instead. I also liked the collection of drum samples you've picked, maybe the open hi-hat was a little rough but everything else felt nice.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes I'd hoped the game to encourage intentional play a bit more than it turned out, but I'm glad it was still fun regardless :)

Such a creative and fun idea! I really liked that the ball respawned at the same beat every time so you could time your drum beats around it. Having a generous amount of credits also meant you could experiment and iterate which I appreciated.

The colors were a bit too dark, it made it hard to see the ball sometimes. Though that might just be a me problem because I am partially colorblind x)

I really liked this concept, well done! :)

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback! Noted about the colours - something easy that I can definitely amend in the future :)

Took me a while to figure out how to play at the start, but once I figured out that the yellow beats can reach the ball from the center I was able to have a lot of fun with the game. Having each mechanism of the pinball machine produce a beat that develops as you get higher scores is incredibly cool and very well executed. I massively appreciate the design touch of having the ball spawn at the same time as the beat resets, made it really smooth to figure out what worked and what didn't. I really love how despite having a ton of options at the end the solution isn't just to spam the board with everything, had a moment where I figured that having too many yellow beats was making the ball fall too many times so I limited my use of it and I was able to attain the score. Having a limited amount of tokens forced me to engage with the game and think on the fly in order to beat it and I really appreciate it for that, made me strategize a bit such as spacing the center beats to minimize the chances the ball will slip through the beats. Was able to reach the end with a stressful 1 token by the end so I felt pretty good about that. Really fun idea that ended up being really well done, bravo!

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. It is interesting that you mentioned that you can't just spam beats - I was concerned a bit that it's mostly luck, so I'm really happy that you found it strategically satisfying as well :)

hah, this was a fun concept! enjoyed making a beat! the window height was a liiitle too big for me though so I had to dig into the code to scale it down by 20% (which thankfully was easy to do)

Developer(+1)

Oh wow, thanks for putting in the effort to make it playable for you, I really appreciate it! Thanks for the feedback :)

Cool idea! It was kind of tough to manage the ball and the beat at the same time, and I ended up just putting stuff on the beats and hoping for the best.

Developer

I definitely see what you mean - I had hoped that you could perhaps try to time the drum beats based on previous failed attempts, but I think the physics and timing might need a bit more tweaking for that. Thanks for the feedback :)

Interesting pinball concept! Loving see the ball bounce around and nice beat noises

Thanks for playing! :)
