The solution for those who got perma stuck.
Very very cool!!! Sad that its imopossible to finish, but I hope there will be some kind of update that allows it - are you planning anything like that?
Artist for the game here - the game does have an ending and gives you all the information needed to complete it, you just have to figure out how ;)
I gave up but then came back and tried again. I like that you can solve it directly on reload without redoing it once you know what to do. The final thing to do with the crystal was where I got stuck at first but once I had enough time to be observant I figured it out!
Erf, I could not find what to do with the cristal unfortunately. I'm a bit frustrated now, but after 4 attempts at dancing and running around with it, I think it's time for me to go try another jam x)
Anyway, amazing art, so many animated characters, polished combat and rich enough lore. I was quite immersed in the experience!
Congrats to the team
Love the art and vibe so much... im a sucker for this kind of redwall-esque setting and I totally got sucked into this one.
All the art in this game must have taken so long to draw. Out of the (many!) frames of animation, this may have been my favorite:
I won't spoil the solution, but once I got what to do, I was able to get the knowledge to fix the time loop. I will say, it's very stressful to try to read crucial info on a time loop, so I missed an obvious nudge for a while and was like "why can't I reach the door after looping back around?" (spoiler: NOT what you're supposed to do)
The use of a clock hand as a sword is such a nice visual touch. Speaking of the sword, combat was surprisingly satisfying. I think the only thing missing was a bit more juice (effects for enemies dying, maybe a frame for taking damage + some knockback, etc.)
Overall wonderful submission. Loved this one.
That was sick, it was hard to figure out what exactly to do, but the game gives you all the info you need, and piecing it together was very satisfying. Well done, one of my favorites in this jam so far.
A nice little puzzle. Took me 7 loops to beat it.
To anyone stuck, its not about playing fast, its about uncovering all the information you require to be able to beat it.
To contrast with the previous comments, I think you might be better off actually making the timer tighter rather than looser, I think the big trap I fell into was it feeling close enough that you might be able to just rush through everything and do it all without the intended puzzle solution.
Other than that, I couldn't tell if the timer stopped during reading sections, but not knowing made me instinctively try to skim the very important information I was uncovering. So making it clearer that the timer has stopped would also go a long way in lowering the tension.
The controls felt smooth, the art style was very cohesive.
Great job!
time is tight. i never could make it back to open the door.
nice game tho
I'd like to have just a little bit more time bacause I know the answears for the puzzles but monsters kept me from reaching certain points in time wich made this a little bit frustrating. Overall the art is really cute and the idea for a story unique and well done!
Very cute artstyle for the characters! The time limit gives the game a nice challenge, but I think it should probably pause when reading a book because that can be frustrating. I managed to finish it, had fun playing it :)
Cool Idea with the Time Limit. I just… cant figure it out for the life of me. Still very cool experience :D
Ahhh please give us a walkthrough! Just couldn't work it out but would love to experience the whole game!
Really enjoyed the frustrating time I did have though :)
I'll provide one after the jam. Can you let me know where you got stuck as well?
Loved the art and the concept of the looping planet!! Great work :)
This is a lovely game. Big fan of figuring out more information with each loop and using what you learn to almost "speed run" the final puzzle. With a bit more tinkering of the time it takes (on average) to complete the puzzles, as well as highlighting interactables like the book with more info on what to do, this game would be more enjoyable.
Cute game! I think the time it takes to beat it feels a bit impossible, I tried to get to the clocktower again once I got the key but i never could even when i tried to speedrun getting there. A bit confused with the side quests since I dont know how to complete any of them and also beat the game; but I love the atmosphere and it felt very homey
That was very fun! I love the artwork and having the whole thing rotating on the inner side of a circle is awesome! I wasn't fast enough to take the key to the clocktower, but i see the vision (and you need to be nearly perfect to finish it!) Excellent Job! Very fun!
I could not find the final puzzle answer, but I had a great time !!
The artstyle really sold me! This is such a cute game
